Sure, I will(or someone else on the team) reduce the reload and balance that with other traits, but only on certain weapons that we'll see it fit. Remember that CC is a tactical assault game and cover is important and taking advantage of someone who is reloading his weapon is very interesting and fun. Cover = Important Slow-as-shit reloads = not needing cover. Cover + high rate of fire + Fast reload times = realistic Cover + slow guns + slow reload = ♥♥♥♥ BORING! I agree, Numgun should not touch guns. Or tools. Shovels can't hit anyone now, but diggers can, thats absolutely retarded. Long reload time = boring, slow, annoying, pointless, unrealistic, unenjoyable. realistic reload times = moderate speed, fast paced, fun, enjoyable NEVER BALANCE BY SAYING "Oh hay, it takes 5 minutes insert a new clip, because its a ♥♥♥♥ 9 inch light-bulb" I agree 100% with the original post, and anyone who does not is retarded.

Re: Petition to end long reload times
reloads should be shorter for most (come on, its just slotting in a magazine for the most case), but not for things like the uber cannon and homing rocket launcher. if you put some interesting sounds in there, that would be a lot nicer than just "chunk................................................................................click". i imaging the uber cannon would have about 3 trillion cocking stages. also, on a tangent, being able to reload something (like a shotgun) shell by shell would be a very nice touch, and shouldnt be too hard for data to whip up (i hope). but all of these small things are kinda unimportant. actors are still slow and shuffley, and have been since the current movement system was introduced. if i were data, i'd get onto fixing that before anything else.

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET KILLED BY A DIGGER DON'T GET WITHIN TEN INCHES OF SOMEONE WITH A DIGGER?
♥♥♥♥, they have a ridiculously low range, and they're CC's best melee weapon. Something capable of digging through the ground like it's nothing is certainly going to be able to do some damage to PEOPLE.

There's no reason for something capable of digging through the ground like it's nothing is certainly going to be able to do some damage to PEOPLE. The turbo digger has quite some range, and they usually surprise me with it, and have a large tendency to because of their delicate weapons.

If you shorten reload time for the guns, the reload time is shortened for the AI aswell, so in a way, you'd be back at the beginning. And I agree with Thor, this thread is stupid.

If you have faster reload times, then the AI has faster reload times... sounds good to me. I'd rather have a fast paced game, not a PBS Special. the Uber cannon, with the longest reload is ReloadTime = 9000... thats 9 seconds, and MOST people play at a 0.85% timescale or SLOWER, so thats more like 12 seconds! I can sing the first verse of Modern Major General in 12 seconds! I can list 20 countries in that time! I should not be able to sing modern major general in the time it takes to fire 3 times! I don't care if its a mother ♥♥♥♥ SAM-Site, it does NOT TAKE THAT LONG TO RELOAD! The game's slow enough as is! the flak cannon needs cut by 750, and the uber-cannon should be no more than double the flak AFTER that, and even then, thats slow as ♥♥♥♥. I've seen old ladies walk cross-country in the time it takes to get 100 kills! But I agree, this topic has been beaten to death 50 times, and by now my laser rifle should be reloaded so I might be able to get 1.3 kills now that I'm done ranting, but I'll probably be back to rant some more in this thread during my next reload if this god damn actor that picked up EVERY GUN ON THE MAP doesn't explode with his 19 absurdly light grenades doesn't crash the game.

Re: Petition to end long reload times
It takes a very long time to reload, say a Bazooka, or RPG in real life. Just to people saying that some things don't take 9+ seconds to reload. Thats only for Pistols, or SMGs, with expert reloaders.
But, This IS supposed to be the future. Come on!

Can we also get a petition to increase weapon damage? Because, damn, it shouldn't take two full clips to drop a clone.

All I really wanted out of this thread was to see if anyone would agree. I'm sorry I've had this game since b14 but haven't had a reason to make an account untill now. What makes you and a few other people "the comunnity"? You've got a single thread with a few people complaining and I doubt Cortex Command has only been bought by you. I for one love the new content Numgun has added. Data brought Numgun on, not you. It's his game and if he didn't like the direction Numgun was taking the game then Numgun wouldn't be working on it anymore. And don't give me that "I bought the game, I should have a say in what goes in!" crap. You bought an early version of a game on the promise that you won't have to pay the full price later on, not on the promise you get to decide for the community what goes into the game. "Please note that Cortex Command is currently a work in progress and NOT a finished product! The campaign mode and missions are not yet present in the version available right now. However, you may buy a discounted license today, which will unlock the features of all future versions up to and including the final with the full campaign in it!"Where the hell does it say you get to hassle one of the developer if you don't like his style? All you people have done here is insulted an artist's work and acted like you knew more about the direction this game was suppose to go than Data. Also, if you aren't playing the game at the normal timescale then you can't goddam complain because time is different for you. If you're complaining the guns are overpowered because dummy's are now an actully a threat then get out of the damn way, if they weren't a threat then they wouldn't be enemies for christ sake. Now if you'll excuse me, I've just gotten my wisdom teeth out and need my meds before the numbness wears off.

Re: Petition to end long reload times
I've been here since build 10. >_> (lets make this a competition!) not...
Even though it is a work in progress, who says they will change reload times?
Anyhow, it's been fine until they added in these new additions, they are fine, but have kind of long reload times for a RTS/Action game. They ARE supposed to be overpowered. They don't need lots of reload time, you already pay enough to make it fair.

Re: Petition to end long reload times
I just post constructively, that is more than I can say for you. Being that you have lurked for over a year without posting, and, on your first post, you complain and fight instead of contributing. (Also, I checked, I am from build 10. Neat, huh? I didn't even remember that.)
