I'm so used to fast paced games like TF2, so when I want to reload I always instinctively pres 'R' before I realize that that doesn't work, thus taking more time to fix my errors and when it's all over, my guy has just taken a bullet to the face because I wasn't paying attention. @Data: Does that mean that B26 isn't coming out for 10 months, or does that just mean that it will be the main objective for the builds to come throughout the next 10 months?

Re: B25 first impressions
Alrighty, had a chance to play multiplayer with the new build, a friend, and two 360 controllers (using my custom 360 controller layout). We just did a simple brain v. brain match. Most things have been mentioned before: - Seems much more stable. Didn't crash once during the four hours or so that we played.
- We had a few times where characters literally exploded.
• No they didn't have any explosives on them. • They were just walking or aiming and all of a sudden gibed into a huge gory mess. Seems like a physics bug. • This happened both when underground in tunnels and standing on the surface, but mostly when the character was being controlled.
- Jetpacks really need to be a bit more powerful for some characters. maybe change the way that a character's weight scales with the gear they carry.
- The whole 'placing brain from orbit' thing really is annoying.
• We will play for hours without going after each other's brain and in B24 would always place them very far underground in their own separate bunkers.
- AI works very well in multiplayer as well, but there were some minor bugs:
• When holding a long weapon (heavy sniper rifle) a non-controlled AI would spaz out if their target moved too close, trying to quickly aim up and down but not actually shooting. They should try to switch to a close-range weapon if their target is too close.
- This was probably the case in b24 as well, but if i'm not mistaken, it's no longer possible to select custom scenes made in the scene editor when you are trying to start a skirmish, right?
• Really would like at least an alternative scene selection mode that just gives us a long list of all available maps. • Alternatively, during the brain v. brain multiplayer set-up phase it would be awesome to be able to save the game's current state, so we can make bases on a large map re-load the map when we finish a round, instead of having to re-make them every time. You could save the current amount of gold players have if need be.

I mean it kills you! The enemy troops are shooting at me even before they come into the screen. If you peek around a corner or something they blow the whole corner off with a bullet avalanche.
I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Re: B25 first impressions
Yeah, I'm having trouble fighting the AI. They respond faster and aim more accurately than I can. My little soldiers get their entrails splattered behind every time the AI gets a line-of-sight on any part of their body. Guns get shattered on the first few enemy bullets. I'm used to going commando with a single unit at a time and using superior range to take things out.

Re: B25 first impressions
The AI's view is linked to the range of the weapon they're using. Give one a sniper gun, and it can shoot halfway across the smaller maps. To be fair, you can still outshoot them every time, since a) they will not shoot at stuff just out of view and b) they have no concept of ammo conservation or taking cover while reloading. My suggestion is this: Learn to count bullets, it will greatly increase your success rate with one-on-one combat against any opponent.

The revamped AI is awesome. Yeah it's hard as balls compared to the last version, but it absolutely should be.

Yeah, I found out I'm very bad playing CC. That, or the AI is too good now.

Yeah, I've had to use a lot more subterfuge and remote bombs. Speaking of which, those are really powerful.

Learn to fight, guys. If you expect to last three seconds in any battle, don't show them your face except when their's is about to cover the wall behind them.
