Prof. Korchoskiz, how the Egyptos Empire and the Xigyption Forces are powered:

(Bear with me here, it takes a bit of reading before getting to the Faction itself)

"I believed that I may have stumbled upon the greatest discovery of the Universe... The power of Precursor Beings."

"I think that there were beings that existed FIFTEEN billions years ago, approximately three billion years before the supposed Big Bang. These beings whose Empire I shall simply refer to as the Sol Solis Regnum, also invented the technology that now powers the Egyptos Empire.

Let me explain a little more thoroughly, I think that the Sol Solis Regnum drew their power from a single star, comparatively massive to any known star today. They used a highly advanced type of Solar Panel to do just about everything, from powering their Space Vessels, to their distant colonies and of course their home planet.

However, it was not long soon after that they discovered that they were not alone. Beings that came from what is now known as "The Void" had an Empire of their own, whom I shall refer to as Atrum Res, openly attacked and destroyed the Sol Solis Regnum. To prevent the deaths of any more of their descendents or other inhabitants of the Universe, the Sol Solis Regnum constructed a Super-Weapon which used almost all the power of their massive sun, consequently the use of this weapon would utterly destroy their star, home-world, nearby planets and completely destroy the area of the Atrum Res (Which is now why it is an empty Void). It did in the end almost wipe all traces of the two warring Empires... but not all... (It is also believed that the weapon being fired is what caused the Big Bang)

One particular Vessel of brains that left the Earth after the Darkest Century crashed on a desert planet. Fortunately, the brains and any other humans were from Egypt, so they at least had knowledge of how to survive, despite this though, life was difficult, but using the technology and resources they had when they crashed they soon thereafter became a self reliable colony. Eventually though, myself and other scientists and professors noticed an anomaly in the nearby space. It was one of the suns or stars in the nearby orbit of the planet (This star or sun is believed to have originated from the Sol Solis Regnum Star), it had a strange type of radiation. The radiation seemed to be some wave of energy; the wave however fizzled out only after a few hundred thousand miles. It was fortunate then, that this energy could be converted into a viable energy source (By the use of nearby orbiting energy stations), we then thrived and were able to completely colonize the whole planet with ease and turn the entire planet into a massive Bio-Dome which could support life, plants and animals. Further projects involved going towards the planets core to see if there was any energy radiating from it... what we found there was highly unexpected, we found a control panel... but one that we couldn't use.

After years more of testing and analysis we worked out that the control panel was 14 billion years old and had much technology locked within it that had barely been used or even thought of today.

Using this technology the planet united, under the name of "The Egyptos Empire" and the new Empire could easily colonize planets... and it did, the new leader (Pharaoh Amen) had created a united populace and a reasonable peace through his small segment of the galaxy. But anyone that dared stand against him would be thrown down and destroyed immediately. This unfortunately provoked the Pharaoh's son, Gahiji into trying to usurp the throne. Gahiji was easily defeated by Amen, but Amen could not kill his own son, he had him banished to "The Void" where he wasn't heard from in years...

But of course, he did return, and with a force that could easily rival Amen's. Gahiji, rather than utilizing the technology of the Sol Solis Regnum, had discovered data of the Atrum Res during his time in "The Void" rather than utilizing light itself as a weapon, he utilized darkness and he warped light, making his soldiers invisible and giving them inhuman abilities."

...That is how the two Nations are powered, one by the sun itself, and the other by manipulating darkness. When Midas was discovered, a small fleet of each of the Empires was sent to investigate, of course seeing if they could get an edge on the other. One of the parties (It is not known which) had discovered Sol Solis Regnum AND Atrum Res technology, though whether it is actually on the planet is disputed.

And now, each of these factions has come to the Gold Rush, to try and find precursor technology that is supposedly there, to gain allies to win the war and to use the gold there to make purchases for their forces, the battle between these two Empires shall be bloody... fun...

(Just to let you guys know, I am working on these two factions as we speak. I do hope to bring a polished modification. I'll also upload picture later, but right now, I am tired, good night.)
