I have the layout laid out in my head.
I just need to get it on paper and the PS.

Hopefully will be done tomorrow.

And we all know how unlikely anything being done to the forum is.

Well Daman's one looks pretty promising, in my opinion. Management, installation, etc. from the one program.

Planning on it. Was thinking of a sweet image rotator for screenshots.

It looks better and gains more functionality every day.

I must say, nice job on this, Max!

I'm still thinking about buttons I make for you, but I'm kind of waiting for MaximDude since he seems to have a great design in mind. :)

So I have a homepage here.
Right here.

I made it for 1280px and the BG for 1600px width (I'll probably make it 1920px wide so people with big screens (Such as myself) will have pretty BG and smaller screens will have a cropped BG (It would still look nice)).
The BG is pretty long so there shouldn't be issues with long pages (It goes from underground to space, so it's like, 3000px long. Should be enough).

Tell me if I should continue with this style or if anything needs changing.
Or if I should quit in case you find it blowing hairy donkey balls.

Anyway, I thought the homapage should have like, a list of new uploads and such. Maybe features of popular mods? I dunno.
btw all the buttons should work like they work in CC (Idle, highlighted and pressed).

it should have a tagcloud on the main page tbh that would be great

maximdude that brown/darker stuff on all the letters really doesn't look good

It looks good, but I personally don't like how it looks like a carbon copy of Cortex Command...

It is CORTEX COMMAND mod database.
I don't see a reason for the theme not to be CORTEX COMMAND.

Feel free to make your own layout for the website. I never said that whatever it is i'm making it going to be used. I just suggested a design.

@ Daman
The footer can be used as a tag cloud. Or there can be another box that will be the tagcould. It isn't really an issue.
And I see what you mean with the letters. On second glance it really doesn't look that good, but only in the 'Welcome to...' text. On the buttons it looks natural.

Post Re: Mod Database
are the DATA REALMS FAN FORUMS for CORTEX COMMAND exact duplicates of the layout of cortex command? (no)

you can take thematic inspiration while still keeping to a coherent, recognizable (and uncluttered) theme

plus, it'd be pretty jarring to go from the dark greys and reds of the forum onto BLUE AND YELLOW AND WHITE

oh, and what about smaller screens. there are still people in the world with horizontal screen resolutions under 1000

SneakyMax, could you make screen shots of the mod full scale when viewing the mod? If it gets too big, maybe it can go under the description.
