Re: What you want in B23.
The smart one has to be in engine.
But the defender and hunter could be made as lua AI goto mode emulation.
Hunter may have some issues, and lua are just assuming a clear line of sight, locking on to the nearest actor.

Auto-types like this: Deffencive, guarding... Retreat, surrender... Camping, stealth... Aggressive, assault, offencive... Its must be! Player can choose this types for each soldier in real time when playing. May be some not ideal clones have a primiteve survivel insticts like zombes. When its very hot, they panic. Soldiers have progressive intelect and dont panic...

And how is it indicate to player? To compact this thing, it must be shown by pressing(switch) or holding special hotkey.
Hm, what is about fog of war and distance(radius vision) view for units? I think its very impontant for game like this.

I want a reload frame, it would make double barreled shotguns look better.

Re: What you want in B23.
I think he means something like a frame that the weapon shows whilst reloading, like for a revolver a frame with the revolving thing hanging out, ready for the bullets.

Re: What you want in B23.
to Numgun: Lets rock with your scissors! You may call this types how you want, but gist is one. Btw you snip intresting gameplayable things and your variant is very simple and boring. Some types have settings: Retreat(10-90% life), Stealth(watching\attack) Types can mix with each others. Something like this: Camping\Retreat(for sniper), Guarding\Assault(if enemy retreats after atack), Stealth\Deffencive (for scout and hold position) It's imprtant not to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Seraph wrote: Numgun's a Developer.... And he has cool scissors. Anyway, does the current AI know to change from, for example, a sniper rifle to a shotgun, or from a metal only drill to a dirt only drill? It probaly does but I dont know.

Re: What you want in B23.
No.
It sticks with the current weapon, then switches to a different weapon when the one it is holding breaks. The only time it changes weapons by itself is when it needs to dig. (It switches to a digger)
