   |   Re: [Update] CC Mods RenditionAh, I see what you meant. And yeah; I can see where you'd want more than a simple collection of drawings of characters. I just thought you meant that you needed to be better at it, with which I don't think many here agree.
Promster is indeed quite a figure to live up to, but I think you're doin' alright, man.

Also I freaking love that apple. Seriously. Why aren't apples like that in real life?

   |   Re: CC Mods RenditionYou know, I COULD be a total ♥♥♥♥ and go redo all this stuff in Blender, making high detail 3D models =p
unfortunately as much as I would like to, that is a hell of a time investment.

   |   Re: [Updated!] CC Mods RenditionI want to thank you, Soldat. This thread (+ the upcoming 1.0 release) managed to convince me to get off of my ass and continue working on my faction mod I started over a year ago.
Not that I'm trying to get them in on this, just seeing all the neat-o factions already out makes me want to throw my hat back into the ring.

Also, putting forth a vote for Space Marines!

What program are you using, may I ask?Apologies, must have slipped my eyes as I was scanning through the thread to look for requests. Now added in OP. I'm using Gimp 2.4. Clunky and buggy, but it's the poor man's version of PS. I've grown used to it by now. I am still hesitant in drawing franchised stuff, like W40k, D9, etc. I really like those mods too, but putting them here seems... off. The highly recognizable franchises would draw all the attention to themselves, overshadowing the original mods. Anyway, added Red Loki Derelict Robot and Lazarus Brigade Revelant. I took some liberty with these two. I added a kanji on the Derelict Robot's mask (couldn't resist), and I added a shrunken skull on the upper torso of the Revenant.

   |   Re: [BUMP!!] CC Mods RenditionIn all honesty you don't need photoshop to make art like this at all, GIMP is quite fine for this sort of style.
photoshop is really only useful if you want high detail drawings and the like, most of the tools you wouldn't be getting in GIMP are related to making fine details/actual photoshopping.

I totally agree. However, you do know they released GIMP 2.8 a while ago?
