Re: Mod Contest 3 | Voting
Eh, just toss in a pinstrength check for that issue, and a PresetName check for the self destruct on black hole stage issue. Already done(see page 2).

Re: Mod Contest 3 | Voting
Code: if object.PinStrength == 0 then object.Vel = Vector(object.Vel.X - lengthdir_x(grav*mod,dir),object.Vel.Y - lengthdir_y(grav*mod,dir)); end That's in the CoG version of GravitateMovableObject, but not Orbit Lands'. Also, the craft's PinStrength is set to 100000 or something at the beginning of the script, so there's no need for the second check.

I chose an open theme because people were complaining about how limiting the themes were. At least we got very creative mods this time round.

Or else, we would only compare mods due to sheer 'awesomeness'. To certain extend, yes, that's important, but it should not be the only thing considered in a competition. For example, there is no similarity between a money-making machine and a reflecting shield, so what's going to determine one performs better than the other when they do two different things? Though if we like the contests more casual then that doesn't matter too much.

Does it really matter? It's not like I am popular enough to attract votes based on that alone

Even then, that information allows the guessing of other mod auuthors with greater accuracy.

CoG is easily the most epic use of a screen effect in CC ever, and easily gets my vote for best 'craft' in this contest. That effect would look really cool as a pulsating energy orb thing for a sci fi ish power generator or something.

Speaking of CoG ( and who HASN'T been), Where did the music come from? I mean the version without all the storm sounds, and the static cracklepop. Yaknow, one that sounds good without meteors there to pull your attention away from the static.

Creator of CoG, please release that info after the voting has ended so as to retain anonymity. The song is definitely a remix of Requiem for a Dream, if that helps in searching for it.

ComingOfGod.rte wrote: Requiem_For_a_Dream_Remix_with_Storm.ogg It's not hidden or anything... Anyway, google ought to do the trick if you search it in quotation marks minus the file extension and replacing the underscores with spaces.

Re: Mod Contest 3 | Voting
The problem is that that version of the song has a storm mixed in.

Requiem For A Dream by Clint Mansell - Thats the original.
Can't really point out which remix this one is because, well, there are like atleast 30 different ones and I can't be arsed downloading all of them.

Good time to vote if you haven't already. Another less-than-a-day left. Good turnout though, 6 more votes than last time.
