Mm'kay, BW survival on Grasspost for 63 kills on Hard.

Started pretty normally. My offhand arm got blown off, followed by both legs. Bled me down to 4 health. I got the health in the room in the first pic, and defended it for a time with my trusty SMG (<3 blind fire) that chewed up concrete wall is from an accelerator grenade going off over some fire.

I moved over to the left a bit, and started defending the cave entrance using mostly grenades and mines.

Note that your gatling guns, while they do tend to seek out YOUR brain to make up for it somewhat, are completely indestructible.

My liege, we are under attack by enemies from the future! And what's more, it would seem that, in the future, we will have no situational awareness whatsoever!



EDIT: Just won Maginot Mission in an epic way. I lost most of the stuff I sent to get rid of the advancing dummies because of their sheer volume and the tendency for impulse grenade blasts to behead me long after the visible shockwave is gone. So the enemy troops killed my last man and were advancing on the brain, when I get the OVerwhelming Forces, Escape the Base message, and my brain can move. I pick up the compact assault rifle my last trooper dropped, and I'm able to down quite afew of em with that and the dummy grenade launcher that was there too. I pick up the turbo digger too, without much thought. The dummies, though, are coming down the shaft at an astounding rate, so it doesn't look like I'll make it to the top that way. An idea crosses my mind, though, because turbo diggers dig through steel so quickly...



I dig through the top of my brain bunker like some kinda prison escape maneuver. One of the dummies, early on, almost got me with his digger, too, but my dig-fu was stronger than his. (This is why I have 50-ish health and no legs at this point.)

To my surprise, it actually worked, and I was able to make it to the rocket!

I love making bases with the BW systems...
