i know this i a small bump but i think you will be pleased to see this

EDIT: also you can see that the imperatus have more weapons and a new bot if you look at the buy menu.
also i think i saw a 450oz anti air drone and the medic drone is no longer a coalition exclusive. (yay now i can heal my non coalition people in the meta-game)
and the ronins are no longer characters from what i can see depending on the fact that it says "ronin light" and "ronin heavy" also the ronins look like they have a MP5K located between the uzi and AK-47.
but i must say that the white bot body is kinda ugly they look like super puffy cotton sleeveless coats.

Just watched it too. The whitebot looks very ugly imo. I hope they work on the sprites a bit more.

Sprites? It's the 1987 adlib soundcard sounds that I am worried about. I do hope they will be replaced.

they almost fit the techion, but sound a bit 'cheap' as of now.

The sounds are fine with me, but the Whitebot DEFINITELY needs a resprite on the chestpiece, he looks so very dumb with the all black blob he currently has.

I like the art and can't wait to see the walker and the Silver Bane.

Suggestions, based on trying out the Techion guns as they were in that leaked B27:

1. Most of the Techion weapons were fairly weak for costs. They're really pretty, I love the effects and the sounds are old-fashioned sci-fi-ish, which I guess is a matter of taste, but their problems are game-design stuff.

Their big issues are range and speed of delivery; while a lot of them look awesome, the range on the one that goes forward and explodes only looks impressive on 800X600 resolution and in practice I found it very hard to get kills with.

I don't think the helix gun was in the build (or I just didn't bother testing it) but for all that charge-up time it'd better be amazingly powerful, like a hall-cleaning device, otherwise it's totally useless.

About the only gun I really thought was worth buying was the heaviest Pulsar, but it wasn't all that great vs. anything that the Vanilla factions get:

A. Compared to a Coalition Assault Rifle, it's not a great deal more effective and costs more and weighs more and is a bigger target to get hit.

B. Compared to the Imperatus Bullpup... well, let's just say that's not a favorable comparison.

Basically, for what it costs and what it does, it's very UP and needs a huge boost before it'd be worth buying; anything that weighs > 20 had better be a really efficient individual target / crowd-control / spray-and-pray device. In a campaign I'd rather buy TradeStar guns most of the time, tbh, even though they're all very lousy; at least they're cheap.

That and the nanorifle needs to be a lot more effective (like, a definite kill for time) or it's just not worth buying, imo.

Anyhow, that's first impressions; I'd really like the Techion to fit their "elves" theme and have nasty weapons that cost a lot but are actually worth it in a serious game :-)

2. On the Whitebot art, suggest maybe using a light shade line to suggest where the flak vest is separated from the chest and stronger shading on the lit edges.

Yeah I'm sort of underwhelmed. The technique of them is of course fantastic but the design is sort of lacking. With the huge armour they look sort of like turtles. Many of their weapons look very similar to dummy ones as well. The first few guns are basically like a Nailgun, a Blaster, and a mini Destroyer Cannon.

But more into the video my mind changed somewhat. The needler kind of thing looked very cool, as did the Silver Bane. Even the minigun felt fairly fresh. The grenades were the most interesting to me I think.

I think what they're doing with the Techion is having fairly overpriced, weak and fragile technology with niche applications that no other faction can do. I can see them easily being the best infiltration tech with their grenades and bouncing projectiles.

that is rather nice, however I very much doubt the final sprites will be like the ones from the video for some reason.

Probably because the ones in the video look like ♥♥♥♥ and we have acknowledged that and told several devs on several occasions that it should be changed.
