Well, I've got this one friend that really likes playing CC together, which usually starts with us putting brains bellow the ground on astro, and which ends with a lot of holes in the map made by orbitaldrops/dropships filled with fuel air bombs trying to hit that damn dummy. Actually had to put a limit of 2 on those until I got the new pc, now there's no problem at all.

But this saturday I've got 3 friends over and I can probably all convince them to play together on the massive 52" flatscreen my parrents use as a tv. Will be epic if I can find 2 more controlers.


Same here, but he always makes me play the game with him, so we usually mess up tutorial as he can't control ♥♥♥♥.

PvP is My fav way to play (until metamap ^^). The only friends I have that like the game don't have consoles (stereotypes for ya ). experience really shows when playing verses with friends too.

I have many friends but only a few play with me. The one that comes over almost everyday plays with me alot.

sometimes, although 2 people = 2 x the lag, especially as my brother likes to do stupid things (wow man, you crashed it again.)
and two people on one keyboard... even awesome gaming keyboards can't deal with 6+ inputs in weird areas of the keyboard all at once. (IT'S NOT SHOOTING!)

Cortex Command doesn't seem to be particularly cooperative when it comes to multiplayer.

I usually play with my school friend after school end. One keyboard two user and my CC did'nt crashing just laggy. Because, I'm not yet knowing about Mod. After I knew about mod, my CC usually crash if played with two people.

My friend rare win the game when Versus me. Long time, he won't play this game with me, because he never win and bored being a loser.

And then, after I lived in Solo, I play with my 8 years old brother. Altough he rare win versus me, he never bored play this game with me. But, I bored if I play this game with him. He will make CC crashing. What? filling a body with a ton of Fuel Air Bomb??? Nevermind.

I play with my 3 2 brothers

One is not happy unless he can spawn nukes with the cost of -1000 Gold.

Another one is fun, but get annoied when he loses his men.

Another can't have a serious battle. But its fun to joke around with nukes with him.

you can have four controllers, look for saitek's at Bestbuy or something...
I use a mouse+keyboard and my 8 year old brother gets the controller, if he uses the UP button, or I use the UP button, if anyone is Aiming, they stop aiming and you can't aim untill they stop flying, so sniping is impossible.

Hey what kinda strategies do you guys use? My main opponent doesn't want to play anymore; he stops playing when he starts getting beat, but I was really heavy on offense. Super spartan (like, small and not very fancy) base and 2 diggers.

After quickly setting some waypoints for my diggers, I immediately drop 2 guys right around my base. I charge into the other guy's base with one. If it gets intercepted I use the other one. If that doesn't work then I got to usual base defence tactics.

Anyways I get my guy over to the other base and I attack. If there's any stalemates, like enemy waiting around the corner with shotugn or something, then I just call in more guys. If my opponent switches control or makes a move, I just quickly switch back to my guy. I'll usually call in like 4-5 guys at once.

Basically, never stop attacking.

On the defense (if it comes to it), I still attack. If there's a guy in my base but I can handle it, then I just keep calling in more bodies. Some to replace defenders, but mainly to attack.

CC is a very attrition-y game. I think that it'll be a lot more about resource use next build.

I would play with friends, but playing with a laptop and two people is definitely not fun D: So I've been trying to get a 360 controller to plug in.

The gamepad is slightly... Different from the keyboard + mouse configuration to say the least...

I haven't been able to convince my sister to try CC yet, moreso because I moved my computer into my room since I bought it. I my friends like CC, but we don't play computer games when we get together.

XBox isn't the only type of game controller. I saved my PS1 controllers and, with an adapter, played easily.
Played easily after I installed the right driver. I have no idea if the included software works because I cut into it when opening the sinning clamshell packaging (next time, a can opener). Nevertheless, there are still kind hosts who provide the needed translation.

Depends what OS you have. the ps1 trollers work with vista, XP and win 7 without drivers.

The only time I get to play with someone else at all is when I visit my friend, and most of the time we don't bother.

Besides, Co-op is a lot of fun when you see the massive differences in play style. He built a massive complex base that was completely defended on all sides using only coalition troops and weapons, while I basically found a cave, put my brain in it, a couple of doors, and then robots with shotguns everywhere.

Then we crashed the game somehow.

Tis a bit awkward though, since we're forced to use the regular keyboard controls. But still, much more fun with two than with one.
