very true. DS doors still seem to be doing more damage, but rocket feet are more prominent then they were.

Actually seems gibs off anything that flies is deadly, usually something taps you in the face causing your actor to spin REALLLLYYYYY fast which kills you instantly. Witnessed this with a darkstorm clone which held out against it, a dropship door (hah) smacked him right in the face but he did about 10 (barrel)rolls and only lost 31 health in the process!

Lately I've been getting cwned by destroyed door pixels. Not really killing me, but taking away about 15-30 health. Destroyed dropships don't kill me as often as before, since my guys are usually covered, and I'm good at diving into safe places.

2 minutes later a crab leg whacks me in the head and I die.

Happens to me a lot, I will hear something explode and the part will whiz across the map and it seems to always hit the actor I currently control. Like it seeks out my actor and then the physics engine goes "Ohh we can be having that guy alive, here have some debris!" I've noticed most commonly it's either a dropship door, a gib of the dropship frame, or the rocket frame, and in rare cases a dead actor. They just always seem to hit the poor soldier under my control.

think about it if a rocket explodes 20 ft to the right of you when your not looking youll still probably get hit by tiny pieces of supersonic shrapnel.(like in real life, except your wondering why the rocket is dropping off people with rocket launchers)

I talked about this somewhere else, but I still think it's worth mentioning.
I was doing the zombie cave mission today, with an ST1 powersuit from the bear feds mod. That thing could withstand an RPG shot right in its face.
So I was walking and shooting, raping zombies. Then suddenly a zombie spawns from a cloning vat, fall right into my ST1. My ST1 died in an explosion...It was crushed by a wimpy zombie. Gosh... I was so upset by this...
Yeah...A fat zombie falling at gravity's pull...beat THIS flying object of doom...

DS doors may be the most deadly, but I believe dummy DS frames are the heaviest. Brings some interesting results when combined with gravity. Not much other than an MPAM can survive that

I still get killed by engines and doors most often.
...So I make a grenade that gibs dropships. The engines and the doors instantly break off, ALL IN ONE PIECE, fly around the map a few hundred times, then, still stuck together, crash into me, wherever I am on the map, in a tremendous explosion. Homing*4. 2 engines, 2 doors. Pain.

My most often flying killer are flying Actors, I should of listened to the directions on the Grenade Pong, it does a great job at flinging anything.
Heh, when the Marine Squad arrives, the most common are clipped DS's, a strange thing is when I ram them is that they malfunction, and the engines die out, but hey, the end result is two engines flying around, and a scuttling chassis on the floor.

I prefer dropships crushing the AI. On horizland, I had a coalition soldier with a stolen dummy blaster. A dropship comes to land, so I shoot the engine nearest me off and the thing veers away from me, into the a hill holding 3 AI soldiers! AI managed to drop off a dummy while I was shooting the engine, which disarmed me and walked towards me slowly. I crouched, ready to jetpack into him when a dropship door appears from nowhere and crushes him!
Of course, the game had it's revenge, with the other engine...
