Re: CC Progress?
It's the sad truth, sometimes Cortex Command just doesn't like your processor.
And going to the updates thingies, I don't know why everyone is complaining anyway. If you've been around for years, well, this has been discussed before many times before, so bringing it up again doesn't make sense. If you are new well, there isn't much to say because we are usually pretty informed and progress isn't as slow as it used to be.

It's exclusive to CC, because it's a Phenom II x4 955. ...I'm hoping he made his game less crap with my setup. I don't see why you responded this way. It's not like his 'optimizations' can't fix this silly problem. And this topic is about CC progress and updates, so... Hell, I think that's my processor too. I tend to have a pretty good FPS, until dropship wreckage starts falling or someone holds on to a grenade too long. What really ticks me off is when I'm in the middle of a battle and the game decides to just crash for no reason... Anywho, I'm okay with Data's slow progress. For me, I tend to get bored of vanilla games rather quickly save a few, so the stream of mods usually has me more entertained than the core game.

(Yes it will actually run better on a pentium 4.) 2. There is no multicore support, nor will there be any. 3. May I suggest reading topics regarding performance issues before you start to complain about the performance.

Re: CC Progress?
I have the same processor and the game runs fine for me. That said, I have 6 GB of memory, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's also related to that.

Re: CC Progress?
-can play Skyrim at 30FPS or maybe 20-
-can't play CC over 15FPS-
Regardless not like it bothers me, my PC is old and in total need of upgrading.
Regardless as long as you can play why moan and complain :V.

Re: CC Progress?
@ALL people who think they are being helpful 1. You're not. 2. Yes, I enjoy breaking my game and its physics to improve FPS by 5. Nothing helps there.
@LordVonKain Because why be satisfied with subpar performance? I want this improved so others and I can enjoy it more. I guess Data cares (cause he has a twitter feed), but not that much. Meh.
@TLB Really? Does the game use much RAM? I haven't really looked into that, but I would've thought it wouldn't be set up to be able to take advantage of 6GB.
Also, what is CVE? Is that the tank/vehicle game he demo'd one time? What are his plans for that? I see CVESource a fair amount on the twitter.

I honestly don't know - I've never looked into it. There must be some reason I'm getting significantly better performance than other people with the same processor, and I know it's not my video card, since the game doesn't use it.

Re: CC Progress?
CC gets the ram it needs, other processes gets the ram they need. Everyone's happy.

Re: CC Progress?
CC uses about as much ram as it is big. So if you have 3GB of mods, then yes, it will use approx. 3GB of ram.

Re: CC Progress?
the required ram for skyrim is way over 1.
I barely get any problems what so ever. so that point is quite invalid either way recently played CC again it seem to be working up again without much lag :V
