I like to make a long shaft to the bottom of the map with the ones that push actors downward, i forget the creator, and then create a small chamber for the brain next to it. All the stupid AIs jump down and rocket past. It makes me laugh.

ROCKET DEFENSE

1) I make my bunker
2) I place my brain in it
3) I put a rocket MK2 in a random place in my bunker
4) I make a short closed shaft going up that is 2x the size of the rocket

When an enemy unit comes near the hallway I switch to the rocket and fly to the top of the shaft. When the enemy gets right below the rocket, it looks up and dodges forward. It is at that point that I slam the rocket down on the actor, making for some sweet squishy sounds (surprisingly, this usually does not kill the rocket, and is only used when/if the enemies get that far in my base)

DEEP STRIKE

(This works very well)

1) I buy a rocket MK2 and give it a regular inventory (actor and a gun, maybe a shield)
2) I tell it to land near my base
3) I hand pilot it down and land it
4) I then launch it back up in as close to a ballistic trajectory as possible, aiming toward my opponent's base/my target
5) about 2 seconds before impact I tell the rocket to eject the cargo, and I point the rocket upwards a bit
6) the actor ejects guns blazing, but the enemy AI pays more attention to the rocket, so I can just run my way into wherever I need to go while the AI is staring dumbly at the smoking corpse of the rocket

If it's going that way, I call it Rolling Dropship Season. Yeah, run, Indy wannabes, run for your lives!

This is a bunker that incorporates some of my principles in strategem development:

File comment: Usual "2-towers" bunker build

- I always build my base up in the air,
- I always have at least two towers facing possible wave paths,
- I place actors with long range guns in towers with strong close quarter sidearms and grenades in case an enemy actor gets close or gets at the bottom of the tower,
- I place actors with short range/close quarter guns at the bottom of towers. If possible, support those with turrets.
- I try to ensure the protection of my actors from random gibs as well as gunfire, but this usually means a narrower line of sight on sides.
- I never leave my actors' head out in the open, I always cover the ceiling.

Now for some strategies:
- Load 4x Vault-Tec. Plasma Grenades and 2x Napalm Bombs on a dropship for clearing out a wave/digging a hole.
- Always get one tough and fast actor out to shoot dropships, soften up waves, scavenge for expensive/heavy weaponry and sell them if the finances go down.
- Maneuver your dropships yourself if they have to pass through a hot zone.
- Use grenades and their launchers when you don't want to show your eyes but make your presence felt.

I do plenty of weird things in CC. First off, when placing my units at the start, I always make them all brain bots o_o I use many different kinds from different mods, but I always put stock CC brain bots in high up sniper towers and place at least one heavy brain bot with heavy weapons on the ground. I also spend about half an hour to forty five minutes designing very sophisticated bases, and during my several hours of game play try to keep them in good condition by cleaning them and filling any holes with a concrete gun. If the AI is to persistent, I'll some times block off an entire section of my base so I can salvage the rest. I also tend to build up low areas with concrete or dig out new tunnels in order to change the landscape. After a good, long game I like to look at what is left of my map, usually not much, and it looks nothing like when I started. I also love to test out different weapons from the mods I download by giving them to one actor and controlling him manually for as long as he can survive. I'll heal him up whenever I can, even if he is missing both his legs and is bleeding out I'll try and get him to a health drone and save him. If he lives for long enough and manages to kill a lot of enemies I'll let him take a break to go guard the brain. If my base becomes over run then I try to help him escape and get in a drop ship. I have had some pretty epic moments trying to get a half dead Collation Heavy into a MK2 which is taking heavy fire, and then trying to keep it straight until it's in orbit. I also like placing drop pods in my base so when an actor is mortally wounded, I put him in one. Then if an enemy ever goes by I open it so a corps and wave of blood tackle him to the ground. I also keep important actors, like the ones I mentioned before in them for safe keeping. Oh, and I use drop ships as weapons nearly every time I call one down. I am an excellent rocket pilot, weather it be the MK1 or MK2, and can fly over open battlefields, incinerating enemies with my thrusters. The last thing I can think of right now is that I usually send a cheep robot out to find a discarded digger, then use him to clean up all the gibed actors and drop ships. If anyone needs me to help them test mods then just ask, I usually find minor bugs and such after using one item for about an hour or so manually, and I get into a lot of unusual circumstances that most testers would probably not think of XD

Want one strategy?Shoot in the head.

Want more?
Buy many AAL money cheats and use them to make holes in the ground.
Put many coalition C4 dividing your base into sections , every section with many C4( also dividing by using the colours ).
You can put grenades on the ground , and when the enemy step on it , it's over.
Use the mod "Smart brain".

I like to buy empty dummy Rocklets and slam them into enemy craft.

Also, sometimes I'll dig small firing holes through walls using bullets, but I figure that's pretty common.

Okay, besides my endless line of brains on a conveyor belt, does anyone have any truly WEIRD stratagems?

Make sure you put your brain in a closed tomb above the crusher site. Instead of digging towards you at all angles, they'll walk towards the brain and fall into the teleporter.
