Re: CC intro guitar tab
okay so I tested all of your tabs and... Are you people all tone deaf?!
That was the most out of key pile I've ever heard. I tried listening to it back to back with the origional and dear god your like 4 steps off, How do you pull that one off?
F#7? Really? and when that doesn't work you go "Huh, F#7 doesn't sound right, lets go for B8!"
It's played on the A & D strings, up near the 12th fret, you know, about an octave or 2 lower than what you guys where trying for. i'm not going to bother, every time I try to play CC's Intro I end up playing FZero music.

Re: CC intro guitar tab
Speak for them maybe, my tab's note perfect - the other two are close, but there are a couple of bum notes. I don't care if I sound arrogant, I've been a musician long enough to know what notes are what.

The first part sounds right, the 2nd doesn't really make sense...

Re: CC intro guitar tab
The second bit could be done with a very different or a slightly tweaked fingering, but it's right - I don't understand how the seond bit doesn't make sense, it's the higher lead guitar bit.

Seraph wrote: I'm studying music at degree-level, and although my first study instrument is violin I also play guitar - I used to read tabs, but if you're trying to just cover a song and you're in any way decent you'll be able to pick up most short popular songs by ear. Tabs just convey notes and possible fingerings - its too simple to do anything else. Ten Minutes later: Code: E---------------------------------------------------------------------| B--------------10----------------------------------------10-----------| G/11-9---/11-9----11-11-9-11-9-11-9----11-9----------9-11--7-7+9------| D------12---------------------------12------12-11-12------------------| A---------------------------------------------------------------------| E---------------------------------------------------------------------|
E---------------------------------------------------------------------| B/12-10---/12-10-/15-14-15-14-15-14-15-14-10-12-10---------12-10/-----| G-------11----------------------------------------11-11-9-------------| D---------------------------------------------------------------------| A---------------------------------------------------------------------| E---------------------------------------------------------------------|
All over the chords of B5 D5 and A5
♥♥♥♥ vibrato markings, if you want to convey anything more than notes and fingerings use traditional staves and notes. Or just listen to it. your second bit is a little off it should be G string, 12th fret, not 11th, and your B string 15 can just be an E string 10 E-----------------*8/10--| I'm not doing this whole thing but the 14/15's could be 9/10 here. B/12-10---/12-10---------| unfortunately the 14&15/9&10 is wrong, I *think* it should be G-------11---------------| D------------------------| A------------------------| E------------------------| I'm not doing this whole thing i'm just saying it was bad fingering, you had it *almost* all one string, and thats just bad. drop it down 5 frets and move up a string. no need to cover 10th till 15th fret when you can just do 9-12 and more strings, its less of a strain on the hand. the only time it's ever acceptable in my book to note tabs as all on one string, is if its finger-tapping, which this is most certainly not. but i'm getting out of this damn argument before I get banned again for a pointless argument.

Re: CC intro guitar tab
I'm not covering different fingering, I'm just covering notes. It's just how I figured it out in ten minutes, notes are right. The one thing I find hard with guitar is the fact that you can play the same thing a million different ways with different fingerings.
Again, I say the notes are 100% right - fingering I agree might be a bit tricky and I was thinking about shifting down to the 10th fret, as opposed to crossing, but I thought that a slide is better than moving straight across as that's what I've been taught as a classical violinist, never to move across in fifths, or in this case a major third.
However that always depends on the style of your playing and how big your hands are - I can play the two guitar parts at once using muting using a different fingering, but for other people it might not work. Fingerings are always a moot point, so a pointless arguement this is not, but again I say this is down to personal taste and talent.

Why would just audio be lame when we're talking about a demo of a song?
