Imagine using it for infantry as a zip-line, too. That would mean no more heavy soldiers breaking their legs from a dropship that hovered a little high.

So I end up stuck in this situation where I both love and hate the halo franchise. Except Halo 1, which I just love unconditionally. Anyway- Look at the Dreadnought, it can fit but it certainly has alot of trouble. Vehicles would certainly be more awkward than humanoid units, but they wouldn't be gigantic titans that can't fit anywhere. Unless one of them is called the Titan. Then it would make sense.

Re: Suggestion: Vehicle?
Hey guys hate to bust in on your little circlejerk but Data and Prom have both confirmed that the largest first-party units will be no larger than the Dreadnought.
It doesn't make any sense at this point in engine development to do anything like, say, rope physics, wheel collision, traction, and friction, tracked movement, or even large-scale bipedal movement.
Yeah, sure it sucks, but so what. It is what it is. We might be able to make decent vehicles ourselves, but they'll never be as good as first party, and they'll never quite fit in CC because of that.

Re: Suggestion: Vehicle?
i have an idea. how about only brain units could pilot them? this would change gameplay in a good way, where you could choose to have a large defendible bunker, or a massive death tank!

What about the brainmech and the coalition mech in the intro? Failing those, I wouldn't mind some sort of minature hovering drone to fly through tunnels pummeling stuff.

Re: Suggestion: Vehicle?
What Prom wants and what Data does are two entirely seperate things.
Prom does art, and some of the backstory, but he doesn't decide what features are in the game. It's Data's game.

Re: Suggestion: Vehicle?
If things like the Brainmech and the Coalition Mech aren't going to be in the game why does the front page still have that as the banner? It even says on the wiki still that the Whitebots "get the Brainmech". It would be nice to have a link where Data talked about the units not being bigger than a Dreadnought. Besides of which considering what's been done with Mechs in the faction mods he might change his mind. I can't really step on enemies with the MARS cause the refuse to go under but I can still beat them with it's arms flailing around

Re: Suggestion: Vehicle?
No one ever said brainmech and etc wouldn't be in the game. Just that they wouldn't be any bigger than the current Dreadnought, which just barely fits inside bunkers.
And he made that comment in IRC after we POINTED OUT TO HIM things like the MPAM.
So uh please to stop being totally uninformed.

Re: Suggestion: Vehicle?
I'm not sure what the problem is with things that can't fit inside bunkers, that's a good way to balance out powerful units. It takes out frontline stuff pretty well, but is a lot of useless money spent when it comes to actually assaulting the bunker or defending from inside it.

Re: Suggestion: Vehicle?
Mods will do for that stuff, and from what I see the mods are common for CC so if you ask you may receive from modders. Then again if you really think it will help the game out enough, make your own mod and if it's super popular the community will thank you.
