Coalition could have something like the Sentinel of the Imperial Guard.

Coalition. They are an all rounded faction, easy to play and has good weapons. Clones kind of suck though, easily killed.

Don't think the imperial sentinel would fit for the coalition. It just seems to fragile for coalition. A "space marine dreadnought"'ish walker would fit better for coalition in my opinion. Maybe if the sentinel where more robust with badass red searching lights it might fit for coalition

What, a lad can't have his opinions? Besides, I think a heavy Coalition soldier can take a lot more damage than a dummy. Even a light Coalition soldier could! And to prove it, I have gone great and unnecessary lengths. I just tested it out with normal, non-faction vanilla weapons (the ones found at the very top of the list), and I ran a test to see if a Coalition light soldier could take more hits than a Dummy. Here are my results:

Well, that depends heavily on luck. You'd need to run atleast 10 tests and then take an average.

Well, the point was to show durability overall, not necessarily exact values. I think that the difference is drastic enough to prove that point, with the exception of the shotgun. It may not matter to you, but I did make sure to keep the distances fired from and the area of the body hit the same throughout each test.

That's why Coalition dudes are "stronger" than Dummy ones.
And why wouldn't they, they are a militar faction, so they have units ready for pew pews and bang bangs.

Dummies are, just that, test dummies. They can resist a vehicle crash against a solid wall at 170Km/H, but a bullet in the head should kill them, after all, they are plastic.

They don't bleed, which makes them fairly resilient to bullets either way. If you let the wounds bleed out in your tests, the dummies would come out on top.

Well, that's true.
If they bleed out, diggin deeper just to throw it away they would be considerably weaker.
Anyway, I think that there's a point in that chart, no one would stop firing to let it's enemy bleed out, and I guess that Coalition are supposed to be more bullet-resilient than dummies.

I do hit and run tactics all the time. I smile every time a coalition or ronin team pops out of the dropship, because it's so much easier than a dummy team with the tactics I use. With bleeding enemies, you can just leave them to die after emptying less bullets into them than it would take to kill a dummy.

Killing a Dummy ain't that hard man. But you do have a point.

No, that's true. Sometime you can have a ronin for example, with 15-20 health and bleeding out badly, ad you can simply face away and kill other guy.
With the dummies it's different. You actually got to make sure that they are dead.

What I have drawn out of this is that the durability of your actors depends entirely on your playing style. I prefer to stay behind the front lines with a nice sniper rifle, and let the AI fight up close and personal. That was simply a bullet test, and didn't prove anything more than what the descriptions say for the units. I like using low-priced units to snipe from, simply because they aren't dealing with a lot of enemy fire.

I constantly change the actor I control, because they are stationed in my bunkers so that the AI doesn't mess up. AI Enhancement helps a lot, too.
When I get bored I just go Rambo with some kind of a heavy unit with a shotgun and a grenade launcher. Crobos are my favourite for this.
