Re: How did you find Cortex Command?
A friend introduced me to CC via "dude, look at this massive crab bomb!!!" I think he stopped playing after my little laptop performed better than his desktop. (He went back to games that need a gpu.)
I've stuck to CC, and it's gone and usurped the rest of the games I play, except maybe the Touhou bullet hell games. A little work on my own weapons, and I'm hooked on toying with it.

I have to thank PCGamer for that. If it weren't for CC being on it, I wouldn't know it even existed.

Re: How did you find Cortex Command?
Some guy on another forum I was looking at posted an adventure thread with CC, and I asked what the game's called.

Re: How did you find Cortex Command?
Great Games Experement, back when the site was popular. Build 21 just came out - I had joined GGE following some other indie developer buddies of mine. Since then, got a couple of my friends obsessed with CC too, bought 4 controllers and a t-shirt, always bring them all to parties.

I was looking through moddb for random stuff and found a mod for cortex command. I had no idea what it was... so i looked it up.

Re: How did you find Cortex Command?
I think it was build 10 that came out with the NAG anyway my friend was busy playing it from the NAG and yeah robots and skeletons impressed me pritty much.So I coppied it onto my flash drive and well... THEN: after a while I went into its files out of curiosity and found that the maps were modable! I soon found out everything else was too so I started modding like mad (this all happend durring build 10) and now after about 4 years I have decided to retire m0dding (exept for the occational tweaks to keep things custom) and to turn to the forums.

Re: How did you find Cortex Command?
I found it very coincidentally: A friend was borrowing a USB at school, he let someone else borrow it without my permission. I found some weird files on the USB, wiki-ed the name and found cortex command. By then I had deleted the file because I didn't know what they were for. Then I downloaded the demo. Forgot about it. Then bought it.
