Are mentions of 'new exe' on Twitter progress notes only?
Every so often I see 'new' and 'exe', sometimes adjacent to each other, in a Data Realms Twitter post. I'm assuming this is just progress documentation of work on the program, and not the announcement for a new build that I haven't seen yet.

That's correct. When the Twitter feed mentions a new exe, it means there's been a new development build uploaded to the developers' private server. Often, it just includes small tweaks or bug fixes. When a full new version of the game comes out, there should be a post on the dev log.
