Who's bright idea was this?
Ok, so in B24 we lost the kill counters, we all noticed that. Why then, is there a script for voiding deaths in Base.rte/Scripts?
I would have enjoyed this quick script shortcut in B23, but why add it now? Unless there's some secret dev-only information I'm missing out on.

How about the thing that there are now 4 teams, and that the B24 we have now is actually something Data threw togehter after the game blew up from having said 4 teams.

Thing is, this would have been a useful modding tool, like Null.bmp. This makes it seem like a dev put it in at some point in the proceedings. Then the kill counters went.

You can be certain that there will always be something that could be added to the base content to help modding.
Now that I think of it, I'm not quite sure where I found the ReportDeath() for my zombbots in the first place. Might've been some stock mission.

That script was added by me before the kill counter was removed. I just never took it back out. I'm assuming the kill counter will return, it just needs a Lua function to re-enable it or something.

Re: Who's bright idea was this?
It shouldn't be too hard to setup a script that shows kills.

Re: Who's bright idea was this?
Yes, but with what we have now, it'd be battling with all the other SetScreenText()'s
Unless you went and placed particles releative to screen position. But that'd be silly too.

Re: Who's bright idea was this?
Wasn't that the case with the minimaps? They didn't lag too much for me, so a killtracker using the (relatively) same script would be moderately acceptable.
But then there's the new killtracker mod out which just blows my idea waaaay into the difficult zone.

Re: Who's bright idea was this?
The kill count stats were taking up valuable HUD real estate.. they will make a reappearence in a separate post-battle stats screen, along with all kinds of other fun info

Re: Who's bright idea was this?
I'd personally like an option in the options menu to toggle it on or off, but thats just me. So I can still find out how well i went with that specific soldier.

Re: Who's bright idea was this?
Yeah, I'd love it to be an option rather than gone entirely. By option, I'm saying that a mod that brings it back is fine.
