Re: Linux.
My 2 cents on this.
Windows is only good because it's got the market majority and all games and hardware drivers are written for it. No other reason for me to pick it. I'm not counting Vista, only XP is good.
Mac. Pure crap. Feels like a dumbed down OS and you really don't know what is happening in the background, like Apple/Mac tracking your every mouse click or if there's a rare virus taking up resources, you wouldn't know.
Linux. Ubuntu is great, many other Linux distributions are not. Lack of software is the only major gripe. Many people say you need to be a nerd to learn it. Same with Windows 95 when it was new. Linux does stuff different, different commands for the CLI and whatnot. If we used Linux since the 90's then Windows would be considered only usable by geeks who read about it. Linux is only bad because Windows beat it on market. In it's current shape, it's great for work PC's and servers, but the Windows monopoly won't allow many games to be made for Linux.
To sum it up: Don't worry about Linux games. I love it, many others love it, but it's not justifiable. I wouldn't mind a version of CC in Linux, but the extra time to port it could be used to actually improve the current game. Windows is the PC gaming platform, nothing you can do about it. Please stop the flame war.

Re: Linux.
Yes, I have compiled an old project before, But I have not written software. I think this is ridiculous how you are so angered by this topic and my posts. Not to mention how far this has strayed from the original point.
