Uh... what? Where do you get this crap? I don't even know what you're talking about. The source doesn't go anywhere. If anything the problem lies in the fact that when the object disappears, the source is still there trying to call it, which results in a memory read/write error.
Honestly, no more discussion on this issue is necessary. I'm satisfied that Banana clearly knows what the problem is, and that he'll communicate it to the proper folks. That's all I really care about. Everyone else can argue with Miles. I have modding to do.
its not an argument, its an honest question, so lets simplify it.
how does the lua decide what particle to create? if its creating particles based on a particle that entered an area or hit something, then I would understand this error, and suggest that you find a way to find the .rte and .ini file that the particle is from, and direct the lua to that, instead of an instance.
actually based on that, I think thats the problem, so never mind, i'm going to quietly slick out of the thread.
