New CC user. Text size question.
Okay, yeah, I'm a new CC player (read it in PC Gamer and bought it, so it IS working).
Anyway, I've noticed that when I put my resolution up to 1280x800, the font becomes so tiny I can barely read it. I like having the res high like that, but I really can't read anything. Is there a way to adjust font size that doesn't require haXX0rzing the game code?

Re: New CC user. Text size question.
Sadly, no. The text is actually a series of characters stored in a bitmap image. You can look at them wistfully if you like, the bitmap is in Base.rte/GUIs/Skins/Base/fatfont.bmp

Well, that sucks. So high resolutions are pretty much a no-go? Practically speaking I mean.

Re: New CC user. Text size question.
You do realize that the text size doesn't change when you change resolution?
It's all going to be the same size unless you use the 2X window option. Which you can't without >960 pixels of vertical screen resolution.
1280x800 just means that the GAME WINDOW is 1280 by 800 pixels high. It doesn't stretch 640x480 to get to that if you manually change the resolution rather than using the alt enter fullscreen option.

Is there a way to adjust font size that doesn't require haXX0rzing the game code? I don't use high resolutions, feels like cheating and slows the game down. Just set it to 640x400 or whatever, and then 2x window. Will be a bit more challenging when you don't see the whole map, you will be able to read the text, you will be able to admire the pixel art, the game will run smoother, etc.

What exactly does the X2 Window do? It doesn't seem to make a difference for me.

...it makes the game 2x larger while running in a window.
