Southlands - WWI Style Skirmish
I consider this my defining skirmish scene so far. Custom art for everything, new snow emitters, tree trunks added as terrain debris, and a nice base. There's even a surprise in the code if you can find it (still very WIP, so it wasn't enabled by default). I was inspired by a picturewars image by our very own Hobbesy, and this is the result. I figured with schools and colleges closing for holiday break, you guys would enjoy a winter-themed map as an early Christmas gift. Give me feedback, though, deal?

Wow, I love the levels of customization you gave to this thing!
It's a complete joy to play this.
Still couldn't find something I disliked :/

Wow, this was a really fun map to play! It stands out from most CC maps, which makes it unique, and the snowing effect looks fantastic.

Glorious Map, Comrade! The Snowing Effect is a new feature, it should be implented in the Vanilla Game. I mostly like that this map can be really good used for these (as the Name WWI suggests) old guns (like in the UniTec, or the other WW Mods i forgot).

Re: Southlands - WWI Style Skirmish
Very nice! It's kinda fun holing up in there with a bunch of Imperial Guard actors using las weapons.
Some feedback; 1) The floor material of the tower could do with being a bit stronger - my sniper nearly fell through the snowless patch a couple of times from wearing the floor down because it's so thin. 2) Pathfinding hiccups under the burnt-out house; some Coalition goons got trapped down there until they managed to headbutt their way through the floor. Not sure what could be done about this. 3) Also, a few sandbag piles set up on the rooftops of the outpost might add to the general feel of the map.
Otherwise? A fine little scene, and well worth the download.
The bombers targeted my turrets though. It might be nice if there's a bit more warning and they actually had to fly in rather than just coming straight down.

Re: Southlands - WWI Style Skirmish
This skirmish is a great map, but it could use some sandbags or some sort of barricade on the base, because my stormtroopers are kind of sitting in the path of "I Have Binoculars In My Pupils" 1.0.5 fire.

I was working on an extended version if you want it, as well as a second map using a similar palette to this one. They may both offer more interesting gameplay.

I'd totally be wanting that extended edition.

Is it possible to make a much larger version of it for two players?

Now an alternate version of this map will be fantastic - what if zombies sprawl out of the ground in packs, roam towards the base from the far ends of the house; I just thought it would fit because the scene is night and suitable for a zombie version of skirmish.

How about a scene with a horizontally-flipped copy of the bunker for the second player? I could place it where the destroyed house is on the map, since that seems to trap AI-controlled actors.

This map is quite possibly my favorite wave defense map. More of similar maps would be amazing.
