Hey everybody - been following the CC forums for a while now and decided to try my hand at scene making, so here is my first. Deep Core Drill Base 732A: Location is obviously somewhere deep below the surface of [planet name], where [green faction name] has developed and deployed a massive tunneling device to plunder the gold veins hidden deep in the lower crust of the planet. [red faction name] Commander [name of red commander] has been deployed via [red faction name]'s small tunneling device to [stop/takeover/destroy/etc] the enemy and their new toy. I included a spot for a red brain case in the smaller of the two drilling rigs, so scripted counter attacks from guards/patrols would make it more interesting ?or make the player more motivated to not be discovered/go the wrong way?, as the red delivery vehicle is relatively fragile. Also, the spawn/deploy areas need to be limited to the immediate areas around each team's respective base area (green deploys within greens rig, red deploys near reds rig, if at all). At any rate, I'm inclined to think it would make a good single player mission (needs custom terrain and background though), however I don't know the first thing about scripting, else I would make it so. Therefore, at the moment, it is just a skirmish map. MP3's sceneries and whatnot is pretty much it's only dependency. Let me know what you think - I always accept constructive criticism. Red's small delivery tunneler. Green's large tunneling/mining base. (the white bar on the side is from mspaint... I was too lazy to fix it)

Thank the heavens! A new scene! I need to download the map pack first, however. I'll test it out tomorrow. I'm currently busy, and my CC is acting really strange. |

Your poll is missing option: This poll sucks. If you remove it, I might consider scripting this, as it is a great map. |

Use your own signature. The answer is in the MP3 topic. |

Oh wow, that's a pretty brilliant use of vanilla bunker modules to produce the drill there, bravo! |

Poll killed - I'd love to see this scripted and turned into pure juicy CC mission awesomeness. Quote: looks interesting... be nice if you made the drill bit a gigantic moparticle and animated it though As far as the giant drill bit being animated - sorry - outta my league as far as mapping/editing skills go. However, if it makes you feel better, you can rest with the knowledge I am working on a sort of prequel map at the moment, probably will be released in the next few days. You all might end up with a brand spanking new series of scenes to play with for a while. |

Lizard wrote: Shouldn't the downloaad be a .rte and not a .ini? No, it is just a scene. Put it in the Base.rte/Scenes and make the scenes.ini so that it loads it. Like this: Code: IncludeFile = Base.rte/Scenes/Deep Core Drill Base 732A.ini |
