Actor health and gold?!!
Okay, this is bizarre. I'm trying to give an actor a lot of health. I have it set to 1000. for some reason its making the actor cost 220 gold, when I only have it set to cost 40 gold. And the more I increase the health, the more money it costs. But in-game, it still says it takes 40 gold in the menu, even though when I buy it it takes more gold, or I can't buy it at all because it costs so much.
What is this? Is it some kind of bug? Health is the ONLY thing I'm changing, I swear, and the game even shows me my intended gold cost even when it takes more when I actually buy it. What gives?

No. It's the same for the Blaximillian. When you put it in pre-game, it does something with the gold cost depending on the hp. I don't think you can fix it. It's fine if you order in game though

Re: Actor health and gold?!!
Health is supposed to be 100, a percentage. (Or at least, regular CC actors suggest this) If you want to make an actor able to take more damage, give him a better material.
Starting health effects price when you're buying actors sometimes, it's a bug/glitch. It probably has something to do with how you get your full money back when you return a ship that hasn't been damaged, but you get less back for a heavily damaged ship. And you lose money if you manage to return a negative health ship.
So to avoid this, and make your actor fit in with the regular CC actors, give your actor a material with higher structural integrity, higher gibbing variables, etc, and 100 health. Or lower, if you want a weaker actor.

But if you refer to this post of mine: http://www.datarealms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8754You can see why I tried doing this. I think I'm just scrapping the idea, though.

Re: Actor health and gold?!!
Wait, so... how is it being damaged?
Is the arm gibbing off, creating a breakwound?
Or is the recoil force simply exceeding the ImpulseDamageThreshold? If so, you could give that actor a higher ImpulseDamageThreshold and that would probably fix it.
I guess this should go in your other topic, but whatever.
