I'm just wondering if it is possible to make a training tool not that anyone needs it. called MILES (Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System) Gear.... What I want it to do is either to fire a lazer or a bullet that wont kill you. I cant do it because I am not good at codding. but yeah......

Uhh why. The game isn't real; why would you want to use fake, fake guns? [fake as in not real, and fake is in for training.] Besides which, it's not like you can have a "nonlethal" bullet disable actors. Disabling actors means killing them. Unless we get scripting, that is. |

Well, unless it's just for fun, like Lord Tim's Water Wars, there's not much point in it. Anyway, it's simple, just take any gun and lower the bullet's sharpness to 0.0000000000something, make it have low mass, and then you're all set. Too bad that won't work with stuff-throwers, like P3lbox's SparkleBall, since those are using objects, like dropship engines to kill, rather than bullets. You can also make grenade launchers non-lethal, simly by making the gibs from the grenade non-lethal, like with the bullets. Also, I'm no sure, but I think that high enough velocity ca kill, but I'm not sure. |

It's true, high velocity can kill, but I'm not sure if it still would if the material mass and sharpness is set to 0. If you set pretty much everything but the color RGB to 0 then I'm pretty sure it won't do anything. |

So this mod would allow you to fire off a laser light show as a skellie walks up to you unopposed, and empties a blunderbuss into your face? I think efforts would be better directed at diffrent mods. Unless you plan on creating some heavy coding to tell the enemies to sit down, go home, or just disappear when you jump out, point your index finger at them and yell "Bang". |

Well I can only really think of one use for a non-damaging gun but it's totally impractical. What you could do is make like a spotlight out of it which is essentially just a turret. If you set the "weapon" (the spotlight) rate of fire to some obscenely high value as well as the ammo and the particle spread while giving the material a glow you could theoretically make a spotlight. Additionally you could make the weapon "fire" sound a .wav of like an alarm or something. Unfortunately this would definitely cause massive lag due to the particle count + glow. Also it would be totally useless unless you're the type of person who hates your unmanned actors taking your kills. Wow I just used up a whole percentage of my creativity on pretty much nothing... This is the first time that I've ever felt like I wasted something... |
