Calling an Air/Artillery Strike
So, I had an idea for some kind of air strike or artillery strike.
You'd make a craft. When it arrived, it would immediately spawn some kind of downward-firing projectile that explodes. Then the craft would disappear somehow.
You could do an airstrike by having the craft exist long enough to move sideways and drop several explosives.
This been done? It seems like it would be fun to make.

Oh wow, this one is pretty durn cool. But yeah, I want to do something where you just call the strike itself like a craft. If this mod here can be made, I'm sure I can figure mine out.
When you call a craft, is there a way to make it spawn so it already has downward momentum?

See: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8218Look through that to see what you need for the downward momentum.

An air strike? If you mean like "Hello, we need aerial support kthx", you could take a look at the banstaff. Make the muzzleoffset way up and a bit ahead of you, and have it launch some grenades/bombs/whatever at a low velocity. At least, that's how I think it works, I'm not sure.

Ah. Well, I was going for something a bit more abrupt and tactical than zOMG hueg bombs, as fun as those are. But your right, this can probably tell me a thing or two.

I know the inner workings of both Thanatos's airstrike method and my own (obvi), so, feel free to ask me a question.

Re: Calling an Air/Artillery Strike
Should be. Seeing as Than made it about 2 weeks ago.
