Sry i was tryping fast, i am using parts from his .rte to make my own moduals. and how do i keep paint from screwing up my mats, it made it all pixelated and wouldnt work in the game.

If your releasing a pack based on that, then yes, you need permissions.
If it's personal use, no permissions needed.

paint automatically sets the file to save as a .JPG and you need to change that to .BMP
to dahhhhhh
and it will also convert it to the 256 color pallete
