I'm sick of enemies dieing and then the bodies stacking 40 feet high and crossing my walls, so i was thinking why not make some kind of wall that deletes any physics objects that touch it? For example, if a person or rocket dies and falls on it, they "melt" away, leaving nothing on the wall, same with any weapons etcetera that happen to fall on it, this could also be used as a weapon disposal system, just throw the guns into a pit, and they disappear, good idea? Possible? Thanks :D

What happened to the general request thread?

And also I like the way that bodies create stairs.

Do you know if it's possible, or of anyone who would try it?
And about the request thread, i saw requests in this forum so i thought it would be a good place. :P

Even so you should still have used the general request thread.

In answer to your question however the only way I could think to do this, is to make the wall out of a custom material that emits lots of invisible high sharpness particles. However it would also gib anything that touched it. So basically, no, it's not possible.

However that's not accounting for the incredible ingenuity of the modders here.

As neat as that sounds, the game engine does not handle things that we think of as being liquid in a liquid-like fashion :[

If you were to make the particles high sharpness, they would still eventually "seep" into the ground and sink like quicksand--eating the map away :[

General Request Thread fails, so it's fine by me if you make a topic on your request.

Although, Scene Making was not the correct forum. Mod Making is.

Couldn't it be a particle emitter that makes particles with an almost zero lifetime and VERY high sharpness? That way we could make it destroy anything that touched it, it would also be a solid. OR you could make an actor that you would point in a pit that when you use it's jet pack it would do the same thing. (Think of a garbage incinerator)

Or else someone could make a grenade which when detonates will
spawn some sort of a bowl made of a very tough material, and then
have the grenade spew out some acid?
Then we'd have the ever-classic vat o' acid... Whether it would work
or not is a mystery to me...

Simpler idea.

A big wall. Really tall. Put an actor with Hitmos = 0 on top, give him a heavy digger, then set him on dig mode.

Stairs still grow, but anyone stupid enough to climb over them will be shredded to pieces.

Probably the only viable idea so far.
