How far out of place? Remember, SpriteOffset values are always a) negative, and b) absolute. Next, keep in mind that everything
else is relative. From there, make sure you're not forgetting to use a minus sign when you should be or using one when you shouldn't be - it's an easy mistake to make. Finally, if it's a hand (joint/support offsets) try adjusting them back one and down one.
If you want any more help than that you're probably going to have to provide an example of a weapon and the offsets you've determined, so we can actually see exactly where you're going wrong.
