Post weird bug with HDFirearm
Hello,

I recently started modding, which is mostly just copypasting the .ini's from some standard weapons, changing some values and making a few sprites, but with a HDFirearm I made, I get a very odd error.
The crash report is added below, and the abort screen says it read everything perfectly, ending with "Index.ini - done!"
I have read through all the lines of code multiple times, and I can't seem to find any error.

Can anyone help me out?

here are the .ini's:

I'm guessing you have only one frame for the weapon.

Try changing FrameCount to 1 under the weapon sprite path.

(FrameCount >= 2 indicates you have multiple frames for the weapon, i.e. the frame(s) that the weapon changes to when it's shot. This is mostly useless, since the shooting sprite only appears for a split second, but some weapons like the gatling gun use it for barrel-spinning animations.)

The problem may be with the sprites rather than the code. What program did you make them with?

For instance- In my experience, GIMP 2.8 has an error that prevents it from properly saving indexed bitmaps. Whilst most not-in-palette sprites simply render weirdly, CC refused to load any indexed/paletted sprites I made using GIMP 2.8.
