Well, I wanted to see Battlefield 3 guns in Cortex Command, so I decided to make them myself. I've sprited up several guns and one launcher, but I'd like some assistance... with just about everything else. I've never really done anything serious with coding. I can fix a broken filepath in the code for a weapon or something, maybe adjust its rate of fire and sharplength, but everything else is a bit daunting, especially considering I want to make them kinda handle like they do in BF3. I'm also hoping to add actors (BF3 Marines), and perhaps even the Viper and Venom as crafts. So I'm not asking for someone to do my coding for me... but for someone to be a "mentor" if you will. Show me the ropes so I can do a good job by myself. First, though I'd like some feedback with the sprites I've done so far.

The M240 Seems a little on the light side if it was darker I might use it. Personally I don't like the tan ones (subjective) but to be fair they all seem like they are nicely done with some good attention to the originals. Keep at it. Check the tutorials on offsets (I need to also) and hopefully you will get some better spriters than me in here to give you some quality critique. Also keep playing around with the ini settings till you get what you like, I think there were some tutorials with commented weapons ini files a while back do a search for them. Good Luck |
