Jetpacks; I've tried, but couldn't get my initial attempts to work. It might be possible to pull it off with a script attached to the jetpack though, to mimc the gibbing when the jetpack is deleted/destroyed.

It seems to be possible to safely make it so a jetpack can be hit by MOs, but last time I tried adding gibs to a jetpack it ceased to function properly. There might be a trick to it though? Obviously you'd also need to specify wounds and gibwound limit, but that might also mess with how it's supposed to work.

Not sure about magazines.

You can give the original jetpack a null appearance and make it useless but can be actived/deactived.
Then, attach an aemitter with appearance of jetpack, use Lua to follow the original one's state.

So do the magazine, you can place a TDExplosive on it.
