Editing the 'GoldValue' parameter/part under a weapon's ini to a negative number to give money on spawning. I used to edit the 'pistol' so when I spawned a bunch of them in the setup phase it would give me a lot of money. In the millions, to be honest. Now, under Base.rte/Devices/Pistols/Pistol.ini, I'm changing 'GoldValue = 10' to 'GoldValue = -500000' and guess what? Doesn't work like it used to, not even 50,000. Hell, not at all. It's still 10, am I editing the wrong part? I'm using the 'Skirmish Defense' scenario, is there a specific section to edit the cost of the weapon or something? Let me know if I'm a complete idiot, and have a nice day. Fixed via replacing 'Buyable = 0' with a 1. Never had to edit 'Buyable = 0' to 'Buyable = 1' in the past. Never heard of it, even. |

Buyable = 1 means you can buy it, if that wasn't clear enough. Make sure you set it to NEGATIVE 50,000 g or it will cost you 50,000 g. Debt isn't the best hole to dig. |

i thought you just had to open the ini files of a weapon, ctrl+f "gold", change value to 0 or whatever you want the weapon to cost, then you're golden. |

Yes, you've got the eye on the ball there. Whatever kept it from working for you Zombie, was probably that you couldn't buy the weapon. Just a guess. Considering that an unbuyable gun can't be bought, you can't get the gold for buying it. |
