Should it be done? El Tiberium Revivation
First should this be here? Its a question about making a mod. All you you know about that Tiberium mod right? Well as a personal project i was able to make the blue Tiberium grow and create little tunneler things. Although when you will have read this im sure i have already modified Tiberium and added some more sprites in. If you people still want Tiberium and wish to have more content in that department, and i get permission *again* ill place a link when i feel ready that i made enough progress. Proof Of Work Edit: Changed the name to make it interesting, also make some progress on the Tiberium. Im thinking of the blue being a faster spreading version that you can call down on a separate meteor, since this is less work. And possibly i can make explosive red Tiberium after i finish the blue? Still awaiting your replies. *And that permission.*

I say go for it. Maybe name them like so: Green tib: Riparius Ble tib: Vinifera And for more tiberium-related info: http://cnc.wikia.com/wiki/Tiberium

In my opinion, related with tiberium, we need more harvesters and less lag, rather than tiberium rainbows...

I've used LUA to control hundreds of independent ai's in a 3d environment on a multi-player game without lag on a more complex script then what the Tiberium has. Although if you get a more powerful computer you can run a battle with a field of Tiberium the almost any of the vanilla maps with minor slowdown. In my case im the cordyc with the Moar friends mod with all teams raining down from the sky's with dummy behemoths shooting their fists up. As for harvesters do you want a tool that makes gold by killing Tiberium? That's very easy to set up, but im not good with guns or tools. But ill try. Ok, ill use those names. Also do you mind if i take a look at the gold making part of the Cordyc's sparkle magic scripts? And thanks for the wikia link.

Have actor's transform into Viscroids when death via Tiberiam is also a good idea, That or have Tiberiam mutants on tiberian stages as neutral enemies.

to be honest, That really depends on which Vicsroid you're going for, The old Tiberian Dawn and Sun ones where just morph like blobs, while the newer Tiberian War / Twlight where Crab like monsters that spew out tiberian gas, so it's really up to you which one you go for.

I would Personally go with the 'Sun Era stuff, being a bit Sci-Fi and a Bit Realistic in terms of Universe The Visariod could just be a Blob, with some more blobs for legs and maybe some nice Effects put onto it to make it seam more organic, im no Pro CC Modder (But I do a bit of C&C Modding) but just having it do damage and maybe some cool Contamination effect on the land it passes over?

Well there is already a visariod added but the Tiberium doesn't make use of it anymore. At the moment it is a crab that's green. Ill change it to be more bloby. On a second note I've started on a Tiberium harvester. Once its done ill upload a testing copy for you guys.

Sure, go ahead and dissect my Cordyc mod! I'd love to see how you'd permutate it. Tiberium mutations are always awesome. Any chance you could spawn a big Tib Crystal when there's dense enough tibs in an area?

Re: Should it be done? El Tiberium Revivation
Blue tib should definitely be explosive. Red is just "Blue but even more valuable and even more explosive, also hideously rare".
TS-era Tiberium Fiends could probably be done as ACrabs, if ACrabs can flip. Visceroids (I love how nobody can spell that one properly) could similarly be ACrabs. Floaters could be made as low-flying ACDropships since they don't need to flip, but you'd have to ensure they don't decide to fly off. Otherwise, go crazy and make up some custom lifeforms! Tiberium mutates things in an extremely unpredictable manner after all.

Arcalane wrote: B Visceroids (I love how nobody can spell that one properly) i spell it how i pronouce it, it one of those things you RARELY speak/hear in the Tiberium universe but you must have it in anyway. Regardless i think it more bug worthy people saying Nod as NOD, implying N,O, and D stands for something. i think A-crabs can be flipped but it just be awkard to do Fiends since by fluff, they're roughly the size of a horse if not slightly smaller, you also need a bury script / code for the fiend to hide inside the field.

Really? I always thought Fiends were the size of Larger dog like things
Has anyone thought of veinhole monsters yet? A nice way to make time limited battles! (as the Veins grow)

Re: Should it be done? El Tiberium Revivation
Fiends, like any animal, probably vary in size - particularly based on the host animal and any unpredictable mutations. So they could easily vary from 'very large dog' to 'horse' sizes without too much trouble. ~~ Quote: what about the standard green tiberium? What about green? It spreads faster than blue, it's less dangerous, it's less valuable, and it isn't explosive. What more needs to be said?
