In Palette
Screw it! I give up, I CAN'T get sprites in palette on this computer, I have tried MSpaint (old and new), Paint.net, gimp and GrapicScale. I have opend the palette.bmp and made a new sprite from there, I have pasted my sprite in to the palette... Simply put, I've done just as I always done (I think)! As you can see on the sprite it's not exactly special in anyway, this perticular gunbarrel is my 5th as I discarded them one by one as they did not work... When I have my actor facing the right the barrel shows up as it should BUT clips through what ever sprites is behind it - so you can see the background (sky) where the magenta color (the "nothing" color) is in the gunbarrel sprite. When the actor face left the barrel goes... ...and turn yellow with a few stylish red stripes. Why?

Re: In Palette
1. Copy the palette from Base.rte. Paste the copy into your mod.
2. Crop and copy your sprite, paste into palette.
3. It's now in palette.
Also, your sprite looks jpeg'd for some reason.

Re: In Palette
Not to be like that but I have done that... many, many times.
Also it's not in jpeg, as you can see (the .bmp part).
Thanks for playing though!

Re: In Palette
The .bmp sprite you posted here is in what Photoshop says 'RGB colour' mode. It needs to be 'Indexed' colours.
If you take an existing sprite, edit it, save it, what kind of file type options do you save it with?

If you take an existing sprite, edit it, save it, what kind of file type options do you save it with? Thanks for being the first to read the topic. I save it in 24-bit maps. But I have tried 256-colors too. I have plenty of sprites I have made on my old rig, and I have tried to do as I always do: take a old sprite and use the same colors, this have ALWAYS worked, but now I have no Idea. As I wrote in the OP I have used the palette. Sims_Doc wrote: Anyway, i cannot help you sorry. Then ♥♥♥♥ do you post? Go play in the road.

Re: In Palette
When you said Gimp, I thought you probably did what I did the first time, which was pasting the palette in the file and stuff. Then I found that tutorial.
Anyway, glad to help.
