Post subject:  [WIP] Star Wars Battlefront 2 Mod

Hello Cortex Command Fans just before i begin i must inform you that this will most likely have some bad punctuation because my keyboards "comma" doesnt work and i need to fix it. To start off i am new to this forum and would like to create a mod for Cortex Command although i have played CC for a while and enjoy it quite a bit. I would first like to say that yes i know there is a CC Star Wars mod but i have to say i dont believe it does justice to the LucasArts Franchise and Star Wars. So i am going to base this mod off of the famous Star Wars: Battlefront 2 game and all 6 movies of Star wars and i cant forget the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars". The mod will include major characters from all of the movies and TV series and it will also include troops presented in Battlefront 2. To explain myself better it will most likely include around 30-70 actors and 20-35 heroes (brain/possibly actor). There will be 5 factions which will be listed and briefly explained below and i will start the development on the one that is most popular among the forums. For people that have not seen the movies or the series i recommend you watch at least 1 movie before you vote. There will also be a large amount of new weapons

I am also accepting people that would like to contribute and here are a few notes to people that contribute

1.) if you do decide to contribute PM me with some CC pixel art that you have done

2.) if you want to do a hero you must consult with me first but you can give me a prototype and i may or may not accept it

3.) if you want to do an actor like a stormtrooper there are most likely 5 other actors that look the same so please try and make them like Battlefront 2 troops

4.) if you feel real ambitious you may take on pixeling a whole faction but this means that you will have to do all its heroes and all of its weapons and actors and i am willing to report you to the admins if you decide to fool around and try to delay the development of this mod by just joking around and saying but not doing. Keep this in mind as i am a fun guy to be around and talk to but if you mess with me i mess with you.

Also for your information i will be doing the 4 Delta Squad charaters (Boss Fixer Sev and Scorch)

If you know of any characters i am missing in any faction please notify me VIA PM do not post it on this thread please. But remember Star Wars has many characters so please dont give me extremely minor characters that only are in 5 minutes of film.

Basic Actors

basically there are different generic actors that can apply to every faction and here they are. The only faction that does not apply is the Confederacy of Independent Systems which use different droids

Rocketeer (i know this isnt the name but i will figure it out later)
Jetpack (the only basic soldier with a jetpack but this is debatable with the use of a poll)

This is all i have to say for now and this is actually the second time i write this (Damn internet lol). Remember you can all contribute if you have proof of being good at pixel art.

Just a friendly FWI mod releases is for working mods that are ...

A) finished
or
B) working but in still being developed

All topics here also have to have pictures.
you could ask a moderator to move this to mod making.

I'm not sure you could make R2D2 due to ACrabs having legs but if you make a mock-up character I will make some sprites for it. (you might use the dummy small turret as a template, hint hint)

yeah and i also think that yoda will be difficult lol but R2-D2 is not necessary for the moment but you can do a mock up of most any character and how do i get a mod to move this topic

this will not happen as first i have to fix problems in my life not in lua. Sorry for people that wanted a mod like this and might have been looking forward to this

I think you are making your plans to big, and actually not being loyal to LucasArts

I think you should limit the mod to the Battlefront series (Battlefront 1 till Elite Squadron, that is). Not only does the series have clear unit roles, perfect loadouts and the balanced weapons and heroes, it will also be much easier for the people working on this mod.

You should concentrate more on infantry, weapons, vechiles and maybe additions to that that fit CC, and add heroes later. Also, keep in mind that too many heroes will greatly inbalance the mod, making it less fun. Having an army of Sith Lords may be fun but it won't work in CC.

Just try to limit the heroes to 10 heroes per faction or so, and I recommend you use the Consortium faction instead of the Wookiee faction (which is based on pirates, Hutts, assasins, mercenaries, etc.)

Altough I could help you by designing a faction's units (on paper), I think you want to do so yourself. So good luck.
