Scripted pie menu not working?
So yeah, hi. Only a few hours have passed since i noticed B25, and one of the things i was most thrilled about is the scriptable pie menu. But, to my horror, it's not working! Even the Grapple Gun, which came with the game, does not work. CaveCricket posted a gif of it working in the Epic Moments thread, but it pains me that i'm unable to reproduce it. The slices lack their defined icons, and zilch happens when i actually activate them. Is this because i'm a hopeless idiot, or have i stumbled upon a bug?

It's a bug, from what I gleaned of Grif and Cave talking about it last night. I believe I heard rumor that there will be a bugfix update soonish.

Ach, then i could have saved myself some rage. Oh well, still plenty of things to do with the new functions! Still looking forward to that fix, though. Hopefully it'll be before B26.

Sooner? That sounds really promising.

Re: Scripted pie menu not working?
unless the next build is coming soon, id like to see some sort of bugfix release. The scriptable pie menu options is something that really needs to work with the new attachable scripts they really would complement each other.
not a demand, just a want.

Re: Scripted pie menu not working?
That's true, we never would have asked at all, but bioemerl is right they do go with scripted attachables very well and were a stroke of genius on Data's part. That is, if he fixes them.

I dunno about you but at the very least Darlos and myself have been asking for pie menu scripting since like B21 dawg. It's the obvious answer to the problem of "how do you give people with wildly different keybindings access to different functionality?"

Re: Scripted pie menu not working?
The very first thing I thought about when i started playing was modding the pie menu options..... oh well. Its very important for me at least, because I ignore mods with complex key combos.

Re: Scripted pie menu not working?
Yeah, my mod is going to need this feature, considering what I want to do with it. Weapons are going to need options for swapping magazines, changing ammo types, and reloading for both primary and secondary fire. Really the only two functions that should have their own keys in my mod will be secondary fire and melee, which I already have set up. Without pie menu options, there will suddenly be the necessity for a million more custom keys, which I'm sure nobody wants to deal with if they can avoid it.
