Sprite by Kettenkrad. These are the default keys, they can be modified exept fir the MG aim(see readme.txt).

Edit: Here I added sounds, solved the wobbleing problem, added an ammo display, made the keys customizable, made it easy to add new ammo types(no lua required), corrected an error in the shield script and a few other minor changes I don't remember. Version 2:MG sharpaim added, now the tank will stop if you don't command it to move.
Read the file named "Readme.txt" to learn how to customize the keys and add new ammo types.

I added an AA missile attack(default key num4) and modified the MG's aim so that there are now two control modes: one follows the aim of the main cannon and the other is controlled with the mouse wheel, the aim angle is greater using the second mode(using the first it is limited to the cannon's aim angle). There is a key to change mode in-game(default is num5). I also corrected the "wierd things that happen when you shoot the flamethrower while going backwards".

File comment: This is my second prototype, it is now equipped with a self regenerating energy shield, an automatic self repair system, and a defensive anti infantry grenade launcher(press 0 or num 0, can stock up to three grenades, reloads over time), I also improved the effects and balanced it a bit.

Is that the sort of look you want it to have or is it pretty much what the spriter makes? If nobody else gives it any attention I'll get around to it at some point. It might be terrible or it might be alright. If I end up with the productive capacity I'll do a few types based on the major factions.

I'd like it to have all the parts listed on the right, but I'll let the spriter choose the look it will have, maybe ask for some modifications but basically you're free to make it as you wish as long as it is well done.

Mehman, I shall give it my best. Any shape requirements? Any reference pics that you want to base it off? I just something more, as I have absolutely no imagination.

I like the second, however it will need to have all the parts listed on my pathetic attempt to sprite it(I can't give it a flamethrower and a defensive grenade launcher if it doesn't show on the sprite), however the generators are internal parts of the tank so they don't need to be visible, the shield won't need to be visible on the sprite either since I will lua-code it. A few gibs would be welcome too, thanks for helping me.

EDIT:

Sorry you ninja'd me, I would prefer the second picture because on the first picture it looks like anything that would bouce off the front plating would end up exploding on the turret, so I don't think it is a good design for a tank, your outline however is very nice.

This is great, I'll start scripting it tonight, I think it will be done by the end of the week, I already made HE and AP ammo for the main cannon, I have a template for the shield from another of my mods and the other things should be fairly simple to code.

Ok, I'll probably keep updating it over the next week, so you can use it as a placeholder if you want until its done. I plan on making it far better :twisted: . I just do the grey-scale to visualize the finished product.

I just made the first working prototype, it doesn't have a shield yet and the only weapon it has for now is the main cannon with HE shells, it can be found in the craft section of the menu.

I'm just curious, is this tank going to form part of the Triclon Empire or it is a separate project?
Because I read in the description that it is a medium tank, so does that mean that there will be heavy and light variants?

Excuse me, but it is really an interesting project.

I made a version with a shorter barrel, I think it adds character, and really long guns in CC look weird. May I also suggest that the main gun use a variable velocity system, so that HE rounds are fired at a low velocity, as a bombardment weapon, as apposed to the super-sonic AP rounds?

EDIT: Texturing! Also a comment from earlier I don't think you saw: Wow Mehman, this is really great fun to use! Although I experienced some movement issues, mainly that it changes direction so fast, and can go through terrain. The gun seems a tad big for the rounds that it fires, are you planning to make the rounds bigger or should I do the barrel shorter / thinner?
