Hey guys! This is David Rodrigov and Darkdoom.
So, me and him have recently decided to begin work for a Black Ops mod.
I'm making this thread so we can keep people up with the development so far. Here we can show mockups and such, you guys can provide feedback, advice, whatever. Just that sort of stuff, anything is good, tho.

Currently we are not working every day, seven days a week, but we're trying our best, just keep in mind that recently me and him are both fairly busy.
Here are the roles we have so far for the mod project.

The Team:
  • Darkdoom:
    Leader of project, supervisor, minor sprite work, minor .ini coding.
  • David Rodrigov:
    Sprite work, .ini coding, .ini and sprites for effects.
  • Kettenkrad:
    Main spriter.
  • Cavecricket48:
    Lua, and possibly some .ini coding.

A good team, if you ask me.
Me and Darkdoom are not very experienced or good at making mods, but this is about us learning, having fun, and making a mod at the very best of our modding abilities.
Our main problem is sounds, because me and Darkdoom both don't own Black Ops on the pc, successfully negating our abilities to record sounds. We'll need firing sounds, reloading sounds, explosion sounds for grenades and explosive projectiles. Of course, anyone who is able to provide these for us will get appropriate credit.

We also plan to somehow implement Kill streaks, possibly Perks and Attachments, most Black Ops guns, and most of the misc Black Ops stuff.
(This including grenades, Care Packages, maybe a Zombie mode.)

So far, we have some gun sprites, some .ini done, and the sprites and .ini for all the custom muzzle flashes, and casing types.

I know, not very promising, but we're trying our best,
We'll also post on this thread to show progress, because just a while ago Darkdoom sort of broke the thread.
I hope you guys will enjoy seeing the mod developed, so far we've worked quite hard on it.

Well, that is only the MP guns.
We will work on the Zombie, campaign, etc later...
Although I do not remember any guns in campaign that are not in MP (besides thundergun)...
are there any?

I haven't played single player, but the MP guns you are missing are (off the top of my head) the M14, the Stakeout, and the Stoner63. There's probably a few more. You are also missing the Ballistic Knife, but that's not really a gun so I dunno if you left that out intentionally.

I think there are also a tonne of SP guns that aren't in MP, but I'm not really sure.

Wow... you're right, I didn't realize the M14 wasn't in there. We have a sprite for it ironically.
Oh well I did not write the list and if I try to edit it i seem to break the bbcode for no reason whatsoever.
I will alert David... when he comes online...
