He answered your question, and he's right, it's quite possible.

There are members with post counts in two digits with vastly more expertise than some with counts in quadruple digits.
To edit the heavy pistol's sprite, open Cortex Command/Coalition.rte/Devices/Sprites and open the PistolShotgunAutoA .bmps. There are multiple frames, and you will only be able to use certain colours.

and once i edit the sprite what do i do with the holes i deleted to make the pistol look better do i make it purple to?

and uhm it now looks like a BIg BLob i just delted the top part of the heavy pistol you know the iron sights and the other thing that stick up on top of the gun? and it went Bye bye

Firstly, "the cake is a lie" is incredibly old, over used and unfunny

Secondly, looks like the background colour of the sprite is the wrong colour, should be something like this

That colour is the games "transparent" colour, open another sprite from the game and it should be the default background, use the colour picker tool and replace the background with that

Your sprite is not in Palette, the specific series of colors that are used for everything. This is because you are using Windows 7 paint. Search and download xp paint.

Make a copy of the sprite called palette.bmp in Base.rte, then copy/paste your sprite over and rename it. Also, read the stickied threads. This is quite a common error, so it's all over there.

Paint.net doesnt like cortex command.

The Windows paint that came with versions of XP. The current one removes the Palette information (de-indexes or whatever) when it saves, so it goes all goobery in CC. Some people use GraphicsGale, Some use Gimp, I use the old version of paint. Good ol'XP.

well the so called good old xp isn't good. i replaced it with windows 7 . im going to use gimp?

That's Windows 7 paint, you want Windows XP paint, search it on google as it's better for modding Cortex Command
