Post subject:  Dropship jet flame

I am new to modding cortex command and I have been trying to create my own dropship.
I have just been editing the code of the one in cc already to find out how it works and I don't know how to change what the flame from the engines looks like.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The flame is a sprite, or actually, a couple of sprites that form an animation.

They are located in: Base.rte/Effects/Pyro/ Near the bottom you will find the JetFlameA**.bmp files.

I have found those sprites but I don't know how use them in the dropship.ini.
I haven't noticed what enables those sprites to be used for the jet flame in the .ini. That is what i want to know which probably wasn't clear in my original question.

Ah ok, I misunderstood.

That's because the attachable is located in pyro.ini, which is in the same directory as the flame.

If you'd like to change it to something you made, copy the correct part from pyro.ini and paste it in a new file. Then you can modify it at will without ♥♥♥♥ up other things. Also, change the name to something else, otherwise it will conflict.
Find the following piece of code in DropShips.ini
Code:
   Flash = Attachable
      CopyOf = Jet Flame A

And replace that with your newly named part.
Then all you have to do is make sure that file is read before your dropship.

Unless I did something horribly wrong, this should work.
