Post [WIP] Cortex Command Enhanced mod.
I don't know if any of you remember, but some two years ago I made a slavic weapon pack, and though it was never released, it made a lot of progress. Well i'm back now with a new project in the works.

Basically, my mod is going to improve and change a lot of items, characters, weapons, gameplay elements, and effects while staying (mostly) within canon and the original style of the game.

Mind you I'm undecided on most of it, but some of the planned changes and additions are:

- Revamped weapon handling and mechanics; Longer range, actual differences balancewise, new effects such as point blank shots being more powerful.

- New weapons, weapon sprites, tools, and craft for Ronin.

- My own interpretation of the Browncoats.

- Medical supplies.

these are some pretty good looking sprites! good, real weapons. a real quick question... is that an m60 at the top? looks like it... idk what that thing is coming from under the barrel, but if its a grip, i would recommend making it a bipod.

That is a bipod If-I-See-Correctly.

Sprites could need some shading that follows their shape more.
The M60 is okay, but the others look a lil weird.
Also, might want to have some outlines aswell, not solid black or anything, just regular slightly darker than inside outlines.

Great now I'm all depressed. Very nice sprites, I've fallen in love with them. So damn depressed.

Kinda dropped this for a few weeks because of life and beat hazard, but now i'm back on track. I'll post a major update in a day or two.

The shading might look a little weird since i'm also trying to do the details on the weapon. They do have outlines mostly, but some areas don't to contrast against and make it look larger.

Nope, it's the shading trying to tell the eye that something is circular.

hey I made a quick edit to your M16, I hope you don't mind. One thing I think could be improved in your sprites is that in some places (for example, the M16 barrel) you have a light shade sandwiched between a medium shade and a dark shade. This kinda makes it feel kind of thin and weak. It works sometimes for sure, maybe if you make the top line a wee bit lighter- but recently I've been preferring to go light-mid-dark instead of mid-light-dark. It makes is still feel round (at least to me) while making it feel stronger.

I also tried to work in the M16's grip (is that what it is?) on the barrel(?).

Good point, fixed it.

Also a good point. It's works well on an M16 pattern rifle's handguard.

Overall though I personally would rather not get too nit-picky over the details; It's hard enough already with such a small sprite size, and for the most part unnoticeable ingame.

Wait was that M16 in the second row there the whole time? I think I might have missed it. I guess the one I edited was an M4.

Bleh I must be too sick to think straight right now, disregard everything I say...
