after a long absence.... the P0ks returns!!! yay! i after some... things happened to me, i was unable to be on the forum for a while. but now i am back! and i am making a DBZ mod, requested by my brother, and i am asking for: help, ideas, help on thoes ideas, and support, well i guess that is kinda like help but what the hell. :grin:

umm... wow, still no respect :-( i havnt made any sprites yet. im just working on coding stuff right now. i am making a weapon. when not sharp aiming, the actor holds his hands at his sides, and when sharp aiming, he holds the out in front of him. the weapon will shoot a thick beam, when the beam colides with something, it makes an explosion, kamehameha!

Throwin this out there, the vanilla gatling gun changes sprites during spinup/spindown. So I was figuring, maybe this kind of animation:

Idle: Null sprite, hands at sides
Click on: ball of kameha-ness starting small and getting more elaborate frame by frame
click off: weapon back to null but releases the beam

The effect could be something like Kyred's thing here viewtopic.php?f=61&t=15416&hilit=charging
Also, someone made a charging laser that had the capacity to charge forever and release somethign crazy pwerful. Though I can't find the thread or remember who made it.

You could do this entirely in .ini, like numgun's spartan laser.

thats kinda what im planning to do, but i will need some sprites, most of which i have, for the beam and glows.

If I remember correctly, he did this by using an AEmitter as the muzzleflash or some such. It was an ingenious method, regardless, and if you should find trouble in reverse engineering it I would be glad to offer assistance.
