Hi there. Im new to modding (I just made my first real sprite tonight) and I am attempting to make a pack of swords... My first sprite of a longsword (bloodied for extra epic): my goal is: about 2/3 longswords, long reach (hence the long part of longsword) and, if someone helps me with Lua, the abiltity to make the sword become more and more bloody as it slices things! (the one with the with the blue gem would be like magic and go insta gibbing on contact (not neccessarily on 'fire')) a normal sword, medium reach, bloodyness, and the ability to break if used to frequently, or against metal things (not really dummies, but the Coalition Punisher is a good example of 'metal'). a few daggers, short reach, possibly insta-kill on a backstab (needs Lua), bloodyness, and breakage. maybe a OP weapon like a sword 5 times bigger than the average actor that rapes terrain and ahnialates anything that stands in the users way [insert diabolical laugh here]. I may include some actors or something later... but for now im gonna stay on weapons as they seem not as hard to sprite. I would love some help, from CC to Lua. |

I would suggest making a smaller mod before you get into lua, the first mod I made was a simple dummy re-sprite that I totally messed up at the end. And I am not even sure if you could do that, with lua, and not to get your hopes down but, try smaller mods first like a weapon or a re-code of an actor. Small necro. |

That could work except for the metal things, as there are so many custom materials people make, you would have to count these to make it work. The blood is perfectly feasible, though, you could make the sword several frames and add a frame each time the sword comes within certain range of an actor...I might or might not do some sample code for it... |

Well this technicly isnt my first mod. Its the first one I've told anyone about. I changed all sorts of guns and stuff and even recolored a few things. I figured I was ready to try and do something a little more ambitious. Granted, I am a total CCLUA noob. I can take looks into other codes to get an idea of what I ned for this. and yea, the blood would be multiple frames. btw, anyone know how to make things offhand? Ive looked and cant find it. Maybe I need to search through more code. |

Have one set to weapon and the other set to shield. And make sure this is somewhere in your code: OneHanded = 1 |

im an idiot... anyway, that wasnt just pertaining to this... I need the coding for this basicly. EDIT: uh I cant find the file all the sprites were in... thats odd... I was gonna show off my new dagger sprites, but the file decided to disapear. |
