Did a quick search and didn't come up with anything, how would I go about scripting and spriting something like this?

lots of tiny MOPIXELS
and fire effects
and a nuke glow.
thats how to do it old school.

but now the cool kids use lua to do an animated glow and shockwave that turns actors to smoke.

Alright, :? I guess I would also need to look at a script of a mod because I don't really know how to script...

Look at the bombs from the coalition for carpet bombing, now try to make it bigger, with more particles.
If you still cannot find anything, try looking at Whitty's Tek Trooper's Nukes.

Don't use my Tek nukes, they spit out TD's that have their names above them thanks to build 23. That and they are insanely laggy. My most efficient/realistic nuke would be my mini-nuke launcher in WWM.

Make an explosive in the format you want the nuke, and then add more explosion to it.
Like, a lot more.

Especially blast and fire effects, not so much with the frag. Make the blast particles plentiful, heavy, fast, and relatively long-lived, with some significant air resistance. With the fire, you might be best making some large MOSParticles, so you can get a big overall effect, without having tons of small particles to lag it up. Fewer and bigger glows/MOSParticles will run the smoothest, but lots of small glows/MOSParticles will be more realistic and fitting, but way laggier.

You can fix the TDE name thing by just using emitters instead. They can have pretty much the same functionality. Actually, using Lua, you could probably use any particle and gib, etc. manually.

I know, I'm just lazy.

im making one myself.
slowly.
ive done the glow and shockwave bits [thanks to whoever made the animated glow tutorial], but for some reason the bomb version does not work. it works fine placed before skirmish, but its weird once you start.

Just pointing it out, there are already a half dozen nukes, why make another? Why not try something different and creative, instead of just a bigger bomb.

What would you suggest making? :???:

For practice it's a fairly good tutorial in TDExplosives, lag and visual effects. I'd say go for it, but don't expect a great response if you choose to release.

At least make it unique in some way. When I made my first nuke it made dropships and rockets fall from the sky for about 20 seconds after the explosion. :P
