Grenadier Faction
It has come to my attention that there are not enough grenade launchers available. Well, that is to say, there are plenty, but dammit I want to make my own.
As such, I'm going to do so.
Any suggestions/requests/advice/things you just want to tell me because you can?
Er. Perhaps I should also elaborate more. I plan to design a faction centered around explosives, with a variety of both grenades and grenade launchers, as both have their respective places. Perhaps a few guns with explosive bullets or whatever, but mostly ♥♥♥♥ that blows other ♥♥♥♥ up.

I shall bequeath you a copy of my greatest portable anti-air devide ever, since im bandying it about. Codes all yours, but i suggest you change the spirte, cuz it sucks. Remember to edit the filepaths, so you dont require my master copy of a mod that currently is not available. Your choice on if you put it in or not, but if you do, if you could give credit for the code

I'm thinking of making a "noobtube" grenade launcher that has a "shottube" attachment. basically imagine a grenade launcher with a mini shotgun attachment that is actually shooting a grenade type object but bursts shotgun pellets everywhere. you could have the grenade launcher be better vs armored targets, and the shottube be a anti infantry mortar type weapon. You should try making it if you are short on ideas. I can't be bothered with it because I'm getting ubsessed with C++.

Above post made me think of the flak gun in UT2004, anyway you really need napalm nades and I suggest looking at the variable payload GL that someone made.(I think mini mod.)
Oh and napalm grenades and gravity well grenades and C4 charge and cluster grenade and gas grenade and zombivier grenade. All that or in launcher form.(for savety and ammo) I hope this gives you enough idea's.

Yeah, definitely sounds like the Unreal flak cannon. Perhaps a flak cannon, but with a grenade as the primary fire and shotgun as secondary? Or was that how the flak cannon worked? I forget now.
Variable payload? You mean the VED launcher?
And yes; definitely a usefully large host of ideas.

Well, I've made grenade launchers for the Coalition and Dummy factions, as I was dissatisfied with those, and it would be a simple matter of retrofitting the incendiary grenade to a grenade launcher.... Come to think of it, are there any grenade launchers themselves that folks want to see, in terms of sprites? I figure those are less important, especially the grenades themselves, but the orange of the Dummies sticks out like a sore thumb, and the Coalition green is also pretty distinctive, so while I was making new sprites, I figured I'd see if I have any requests for those.

Wheeeee, so many explosive-launching devices! I think a few have been included in UniTec, though....
Yep. Milkor, M79, M72 LAW, and M202 are all in UniTec. Now, I would gladly give those a shot anyway, but only if no one minds the overlap, and as long as you realize that it likely will not be as nice as UniTec.

A TDExplosive that gibs into a scattered handful of tiny antipersonnel shotshell landmines* would be pretty neat. Of course, they would conveniently deploy perfectly upright by simply being tossed on the ground, for gameplay's sake. * I claim no responsibility for anything anyone does with that information
