I'm wondering what exactly it does on an actor

is increasing it better or worse?...

It relates to how much impulse (a physics term relating mass and acceleration I believe) an MO can take before taking damage (hardcoded to 10 damage I believe) or gibbing. The larger the number, the more an MO can take.

In simple words (please correct me if this is wrong):

ImpulseDamageThreshold: The higher it is, the taller the cliffs can be to jump off from without taking 10 hitpoints of damage or dying completely.

GibImpulseLimit: The higher it is, the bigger the grenade is that you can catch with your teeth without your head exploding.

GibImpulseLimit: The higher it is, the bigger the cliff you can jump off of without splattering all over.

hmm interesting.. that might come in handy if I wanted to make a drop ship trooper without a parachute hehe
