I'm working on a actor with a glow around his head, but I'm not sure how to do that.
If it is possible to do could I get a sample code of it. thanks

If not, you can attach an emitter with a flash with a glow, or glow particles.
So to answer your question, yes.

Buuut I am lazy and don't feel like testing it to find the best method and then giving you an example bit of code and telling you how to implement it.

If you figure it out yourself it will be a better learning experience...

Thanks I will try that out now if it works this will be awesome

**Edit**
Okay tried it out a few ways and I must be doing something wrong.
I tried doing a screen effect, and a attachable. I'm not sure how to make it a flash or what not.

I guess I should talk a bit more about what I'm trying to do here. I'm making a floating skull in a jar with a atomic green glow around it.

If I can get the head glow to work right I will make tiny green glows for leaks of radiation when the jar is damaged.

Eventually I would like to place this all on a body like the vanilla brain-bot is but one of my own of course.

That doesn't look bad. A red glow in the eye I assume?

EDIT: Now to be helpful. What you can do is take the code from a wound emitter, change the particles emitted to a MOPixel with a glow attached (with the ScreenEffect lines) and attach that emitter to the head.

Okay here is a VARY rough version of my space skull actor and, Before everyone tells me whats wrong with it I should mention...

the sprites are not all done (legs are still dummy legs and so is the jetpack)

    neither are the gibs

the green in the helmet is a stand in for the green glow effect

the actor will bleed tiny green glows too

I also plan to tweak how much damage he takes and, make him come equipped with the ray gun

any help you can offer is greatly appreciated

Alternatively you could do something like Darlos and "attach" a glowing MOPixel with lua. This ensures a constant non flickering glow at the same place all of the time.

Could you send me a sample to look at or direct me to one?

Okay I did a lot of work on this last night so whats left now is...

    Gibs need correcting

Legs need a brown pant cuff

Head is missing its green glow

    Needs to bleed green glows

Polish up code and correct some of the naming

As always thanks for your continued help guys.

Unfortunately no. I suck at Lua script and can only slightly refine already existing scripts for my needs. You could PM Darlos9D directly if you want though. See if he answers

@p3lb0x thanks I will do that. Hey maybe you could down load this and tell me what you think of it?

*UPDATE*

Most of the gibbing is working now (the heads giving me trouble), still haven't added the glows or the pant cuff. I'm working on his craft which will be just a coffin that drops and breaks open.

After I finish these few things I will be ready for a official release.
I will post a more current version soon.

Sorry about the double post but I have a new update.

I'm working hard on making this a complete pack, which so far includes the fallowing.

    The skull brain

A armored coffin that acts like a storage locker but heavily armored, and a coffin that acts like a drop crate. (the armored coffin works really well if you get over run and need to hide)

    Retro-future raygun

Lastly the atomic space skull himself

I have more planned for the future including a few more guns, a bomb, and maybe two more actors.
Ooh and as promised here is the latest version.

I think it looks much more like a tombstone than a coffin, and a very good looking tombstone at that.
