Hey everyone, I'm new here, I've been playing CC a long time, just never got active on the fourms. I was thinking the other day I'd really like to make a World War II Mod for CC, at least including weaponry, maybe some other stuff. Has anyone else done this already? Would anyone be interested. Thanks. Looking forward to chillin on the boards. |

Hm, very cliche idea, I think its been done. You can use the search button if you want to find out. EDIT: In case you're lazy: viewtopic.php?f=83&t=12765&hilit=world+war+II Apparently doesn't work with B23. |

Well, hey, if that one is defunct then nothing is really stopping you. Some tips on faction-building though: Unless you present us with some amazing artwork, just making a faction of a bunch of typical guns-that-shoot-bullets isn't going to impress anyone. Try and come up with a sort of "functional theme" for your mod. Like, you could try making a mod that focuses heavily on vehicles, with tanks and planes, and you could put a lot of effort into making them really good. There's an example or two around the forums of how one might go about making some really nifty vehicles using Lua. You could still throw in some more typical actors and weapons, though I wouldn't suggest letting the mod get too bloated on that side. One can only have so many different rifles before they all start looking the same. |
